Miki is the first host I've homestayed with and I can say with confidence that she's one of the best you could find. She's one of the kindest people I've met and goes to great effort to look after people staying with her. It was great meeting her friends from various countries, and thanks to her I now have a network of friends from all parts of the world I never would have met without her help. Moreover, as I was studying Japanese, she helped me practice my language a lot. Her English is also strongly fluent, so don't worry about that either!
Miki's meals are delicious, her home large and conveniently located a short walk away from the Yamanote line (one of the most convenient train lines to catch in Tokyo). The station is close to Shinagawa station (easy access to the bullet train) and if you're heading in the direction of Shibuya or Shinjuku you can easily get a seat at most times of the day.
The biggest mistake I made was not booking a longer stay to begin with. You can be sure that if I come back to live in Tokyo, I'll definitely be considering another stay with Miki!

This is the report of Corentin, my grand-son, gone to Tokyo university .
" Miki' home is situated in a quiet quarter of Tokyo, near Gotanda and Osaki stations (10 minutes walking). These two stations are served by the emblematic line Yamanote, fastest way to go to Tokyo center or main peripherals boroughs.
Many taxis available and parks with electrical bikes to rent.
In the north, walk along Meguro river is so agreable during cherry-trees flower-time.
Miki is an adorable and hospitable hostess, always giving nice advices with goodwill. She is open-handed and full of energy. She speaks English well.
She prepares her own tea and she is a marvellous cook; various and copious menus permitted to me to discover differents dishes and ingredients of japanese cooking.
Miki often invites friends to dinner, friends coming from all parts of the world, and proposes some coming out , differents activities at home, and that all gives in the house a wonderful atmosphere.
The bath room is nice; the washing and drying machines are easy to access and to use.
Library is full of travel books which let us to see Miki's passion for Oregon.
I have spent a wonderful stay at Miki's and I leaved her with a lot of best memories and my arms loaded with gifts.
I do recommend this adress to all students who have to go to Tokyo so as to discover japanese culture."April 2019

Miki is very kind and energetic and does her best to accommodate any of your needs. I was sick for my first week in Tokyo and she did her best to help me get better as fast as possible. When there is time she'll offer to take you around different parts of Tokyo that you may not have gotten to see otherwise. The house is clean, dinners were delicious, and the company was welcome. Definitely plan on going back!
