This is my first experience of homestay and it was fantastic.
The house is close to metro and JR station but located in a quiet place, and inside it is cosy and decorated with cute things and the bed is really comfy.
Kumi and Asa are a very lovely couple. They are very welcoming and took me to local restaurants which I really enjoyed. Kumi is fluent in English and it's nice to chat with her about different topics and I also enjoyed her company when she showed me around. I felt so luck to stay with them. It's a really good time! Recommend people who travel alone to stay with them. Miss them and the cats already!September 2019
This was a wonderful experience and a wonderful Homestay!
Kumi and Asa are lovely and made me feel very welcome in their home. The house is very clean and comfortable, and I had the added luxury of a cat and two kittens to play with! It was my first time in Japan and Kumi was very helpful and kind... she took the time to show me around different parts of Tokyo and different Japanese food, giving me insights into Japanese the culture that I would not have seen otherwise. Thank you Kumi and Asa for your warm welcome to Japan!July 2019
Kumi is one of the most welcoming and accommodating people I have probably met in my entire life. Hands down it is the best homestay. Her home is clean and modern. She also had a wonderful cat that complimented the overall pleasant experience that I had at her home. The couple is truly the sweetest and I highly recommend this home to anyone that is looking for a homestay in Tokyo. Kumi even went out of her way with her busy schedule to show me around the area with the insights of a local which was amazing!! I felt comfortable being with her as I do not know the language and I was traveling solo. She was able to help with me with so many things and I am so grateful. Her hospitality is incomparable to any other host.

It was the absolute ideal Homestay!
Kumi-san and Asa-san are very nice, friendly and extremely welcoming hosts. Their cat Hana-chan is also lovely.
The house is beautiful and the guest room is spacious and very confortable. The neiborhood is quiet and well situated close to Asakusa main attractions.
I had the chance to spend a lot of time with Kumi-san who is a very generous person with fabulous all around culture. Her English is excellent and she obviously has a gift with langages.
She kindly helped me with my travel planing. I learned a lot about Japanese tradition as well as usefully day to day information like nice restaurants and things to do for the rest of my trip.
She’s also a real foodie and she introduced me to many new Japanese delicacies.
I would highly recommend this Homestay. I’m convinced it’s the best in Tokyo!June 2019
This was my first experience with Homestay. My stay with Kumi was so wonderful. She is one of the most warm and genuine people I’ve ever met. She and her husband were incredible kind and helpful. I can’t imagine a better way to stay in Tokyo!

I had such a great experience staying at Asa-san and Kumi-sans home, they made me feel so welcomed and I'm so glad I chose to stay with them. I got to experience what it's like to stay in a modern Japanese home and was able to not only try home cooked Japanese food but got to try some local restaurants nearby. It's such a good location in Tokyo, close to Ueno station and walking distance from Asakusa area. The cherry on top was getting to spend time with their super cute cat Hana-chan. I would highly recommend staying at Asa-san and Kumi-sans home and I will be keeping in touch with them, I miss them already.

I am so glad I chose Kumi‘s place for my first days in Japan. Kumi and Asa were incredibly friendly and generous. They speak English very well! You can visit many popular places easily from their place, and the appartment is very pretty and clean. I would come back anytime and I miss them already! Thank you again, Kumi and Asa!

Kumi and her husband Asa were absolutely delightful hosts! They made my stay in Tokyo special in every way- personally showing me around Ueno Park, sharing meals together, and showing a genuine interest in developing relationship! They did everything in their power to make me feel at home. I am so thankful for these past 4 days with them, and I would highly recommend staying with them if you are in the Tokyo area!

All I can say is: A perfect place to stay in Tokyo!
We had tasty temakisushi, Kumi lent me her bike, treated me to dinner, recommended places for sightseeing, her husband helped me pack a parcel and shared his homemade nukazuke. And don't forget their cute cat, Hana...Host reply
