Staying with Theresa was an absolute delight. She was very hospitable and would help us if we had any questions or needed help with getting around. We enjoyed eating breakfast with her and the other house guests we met during our stay. She happily booked a taxi and reservation for us which was very kind and helpful. It was our first trip to Japan and even to a homestay, so we didn’t quite know what to expect. But we got to meet an amazing lady who really cares for her guests.
She was even awake early to see us off at 6:30 in the morning, which really warmed our hearts.
we would recommend anybody to stay with this amazing lady and I’m sure we’ll be back in the future ❤️
Theresa is a fantastic host. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in her home. I started out in the smallest room, but needed to upgrade for more space after a few days (I literally needed to stretch out after some tattoo work) and luckily there was a larger room available at the time. The breakfasts were perfect and enjoyable, and Theresa helped with finding local businesses that had items I was looking for. When I travel to Tokyo in the future I will definitely try to stay with Theresa again. Arigatou gozaimasu!
We loved staying with Theresa. She was such a big help in so many ways. She provided a big breakfast each morning, with many options, including COFFEE JELLO! Breakfast was one of my favorite times of the day, when we met other guests, laughed, planned our day, and shared about the previous day. We made real friends at that table.
Theresa's home is convenient to get to from the train station. We always felt really safe. She has wi-fi that worked well. She allowed us to use her washing machine, but we ended up going to the laundromat just a couple of blocks away. She told us how to get there and how the machines work (since we can't read Japanese).
When we told her what we were doing for the day she would let us know the quickest or easiest (not always the same thing) way to get there. When another guest needed to make reservations she did it for them. I inquired about purchasing an odd thing in Japan and she made a few phone calls to help me find it. She is a treasure.
Next time I go to Tokyo I will definitely be staying with Theresa.
Theresa san, I appreciated very much your place and your discretion. the room was very clean and peacefull. Thank you for your advises and help you gave me to find my way in Tokyo. I can only highly recommand your place. Many greetings_Max
Theresa was a very helpful host. My room was clean and I had a good stay. Thank you very much Theresa .
Teresa is super kind, warm and friendly, always here to give you an help if necessary.
The house is top located, clean and quiet.
I will book it again when i will be back.
Theresa is a wonderful host! I arrived at her house while typhoon Hagibis rushed across Tokyo. Soaking wet and not used to these kind of extreme weather conditions and small earthquakes, I was a bit restless. She put me at ease and made ramen for me. We watched the weather channel on television in our pijamas together. An experience I will not soon forget! (For this I would give her a sixth heart if I could!)
And all the practical things are well arranged: Great room, good bed, good shower, stores nearby and just a short walk to the subway station.
This guest awarded the host 5 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
I stayed for a couple of months for a study abroad program, and I was very satisfied with everything. Not only was the location convenient for me, but the room was comfortable, and Theresa was very helpful and friendly.
My very first time using this website and it has been a great experience. Theresa's house is located in one of the best areas in Tokyo Metropolis and is close to transportations (5 mins walk to bus stations, 10 mins walk to metro station) that can get you to big areas such as Shibuya, Ebisu, Shinjuku etc. Theresa's family was also lovely and energetic, they always tried to accommodate me as needed. I stayed there for almost 2 months and I still love it! I will definitely come back in the future! Thanks Theresa and your family!
