Welcome to a poet's comfort home. My beautiful, african themed, two bedroom main house in Umoja estate Nairobi and gives you a feel of how we live in here in the east. The house is located in a secure gated and urban community and has an exceptional touch of art from photography, paintings to its interior decor. I stay in the house as well with two beautiful welcoming dogs (Geegee and Nina) so the house is always warm.
I was born an artist, so not only can I play with words but I can create things with my hands too. Other than being an artist - I work as a Public Relations and fundraising officer for children living with Cerebral Palsy.
Once in a while I in the company of my brother (a musician) sister (a painter) and other artists host small acoustic events at the front terrace - giving guests the ultimate kenyan experience that is never seen or heard of commonly.

About the Area
Located 15 minutes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), 30 minutes from Nairobi town center depending on traffic. The house is 5 minutes form the bus stop. Shops and kiosks are not far away and so is the Green Span Mall for all your shopping and banking activities. Hospitals are 10 minutes away as well.
We also arrange night outs to the city most weekends or artistic themed events once a month at the venue. You are most welcome to join in the fun.

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

1. For liability reasons, if you must bring a guest then please run it with me first.
2. Keep the place tidy especially if you use the kitchen
3. Smoking is allowed only at the front or back yards
4. Take care of all equipment/facilities in the house

namatse is a super lovely person and she has many very cool friends. excellent homestay if you want to meet some of Nairobi's finest.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
