I am Mary and run a Homestay with my Irish partner Derry . We are based in Nakuru town along the Nairobi Nakuru highway just behind Tuskys supermarket (st. Mary's estate). Our Homestay sleeps 6 adults. Breakfast /Evening Meal available on request. The homestay is just 5mins drive from Nakuru town and popular Restaurants , Bars ,entertainment clubs etc are within easy reach for a night out . We are also privileged to live near Hyrax Hill a pre - historic site ... Menengai Crater (hiking) and Lake Nakuru National park (full of native wildlife i.e lions, giraffe, Buffaloes etc ) all are within easy reach from the homestay and offer a great day out ... Hell's Gate National Park , Mt. Longonot , Thompson's falls are all within an hours drive from the homestay and are definitely worth a day trip to see.
A brief outline of us we are a fun friendly easy going couple actively involved in community & charity work in Kenya and Ireland.
We are experienced hikers and love outdoor activities. I Live in a very serene place near Hyrax Hill Pre historic site with a beautiful view of Lake Nakuru. Its a two bedroomed apartment with very comfy beds fitted with mosquito nets, hot shower available, towels and toiletries provided. The apartment is guarded with 24hrs security and an electric fence round the stone wall making it very safe and ideal for guests. The kitchen is fully furnished. We Both love cooking and I would not mind showing my guests how we cook our traditional meals.
Our home is your home and so all guests are entitled to feel at home.

About the Area
My house is adjacent to St Mary's Pastoral Centre near Hill Court Resort and Spa. The house overlooks Hyrax Hill Museum. Its only 500mts from the Main road i.e the Nakuru - Nairobi Highway.
The neighbourhood is full of tendy cafes, bars and restaurants. There is also a shopping centre 500mts from my house known as Tuskys Shopping centre. Its about 3kms from my house to the city centre and so it takes 30minutes to walk to town but 8minutes drive to town. Our neighbourhood buses that ply on our route start as early as 5am and closes as late as 10pm. The buses stop right outside the apartment making more easily accessible.

House Rules
Please the house should always be locked when entering or leaving the house,
Guests should at least try and help around with household chores
Guests should feel free to use the kitchen but should clean up afterwards.
Strangers not allowed in the house for both our safety's sake.
Electricity sockets/switch should always be off when not in use.
Please enjoy your stay and treat my house as you would your home.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
