The loft is a very spacious 100 sq. m (1076 sq. ft) space nestled on the first floor of a 1937 3-storey pre-war shophouse within the Unesco Heritage Zone of Malacca and just 1 min from the Malacca River. The Loft has a spacious kitchenette with an intimate patio terrace dining area, a private shower room with heater and a separate toilet.

Done-up in the style of a European-style loft, the loft has been lovingly restored and furnished with vintage South East Asian Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern furniture with modern amenities and facilities including aircon, wifi internet, water heater with rain shower, microwave, refrigerator, steam iron, hairdryer, bluetooth speakers, electric kettle and various kitchen utensils to make your stay ‘a home away from home’.

About the Area

The loft is located in a 100 sq. m (1076 sq. ft) space nestled on the first floor of a 1937 3-storey pre-war shophouse which used to be a bookshop, right in the heart of Chinatown and the Unesco Heritage Zone of Malacca, just 1 min from the Malacca River.

The ground floor houses a vintage furniture store with a cafe while the second floor is an artist studio cum art space.

The loft is 5 mins from the main thoroughfare of Jonker Walk and within walking distance to the the various historical sites of Malacca like the Stadhuys, St Paul's Hill, A'Farmosa Fort, Heeren and Jonker Street, Chinatown and Little India.

There are 2 convenient store stores opposite the loft and a larger supermarket within 10 mins walk from the loft.

Cafes, traditional coffeeshops and restaurants are within 5 mins walk from the loft.

The property is rented as a whole unit for your own privacy.
For security reasons, smoking is prohibited inside the bedroom. You are welcome to smoke in the open-air patio lounge area.
No pets are permitted into the premises.
Check-in time is after 1400 Hrs and Check-out time is by 1100 Hrs. Early Check-in and late Check-out are subject to availability.
As this is a homestay, we do not have a 24-hour front desk service. Kindly advise us on your estimated time of arrival in order for us to facilitate your check-in.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
