My daughter & I will be sharing this terraced house. The house is located in a safe and quiet area in the quaint village of Attard. Access to bedroom is by a flight of stairs. Another flight of stairs up and you reach the kitchenette and roof garden terrace (solely for guests use). Your room is private and very spacious and has a semi-balcony overlooking the frontage. A shared bathroom with hosts and other guests is next to your room. A bus stop 2 mins away from house takes you direct to Mater Dei Hospital and University and also to Valletta. Traffic congestion in street between Mon-Fri 0700-0900hrs. The house is close to many amenities (bars, restaurants, cafeterias, stationers, hair salons, convenience stores, pharmacies, etc) with a supermarket just across the house.
Airport transfers to/from also available for a fee of 20E (max 2 persons) depending on host's availabilities. Advance booking is a must.
Payment: Part of the booking fee is requested by the site upon your booking. The rest can be settled with us on your arrival in cash .
Cancellation Policy: Full refund for cancellations made within 72 hours of booking. 50% refund for cancellations made 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made after check-in date.

About the Area
Attard is located in the centre of the island. We live outside the main village area of Attard. Our area is considered very safe with easy accessibility in public transport to go to any part of the island. The area round the house has 24/7 free parking. House is located near many amenities (restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacies, stationeries, etc) and historical sites such as San Anton Gardens and the Palace (residence of the President of Malta); Villa Bologna; Ta' Qali Crafts Village. Attard is also within walking distance to Mosta (popular for its big church dominating the piazza), Rabat and Mdina and the Crafts village of Ta' Qali. You can also enjoy country walks towards Chadwick Lakes very nearby.
A supermarket is just across the road from the house. The Corinthia Palace Hotel is 10mins on foot and you can enjoy a tennis game, spa and indoor pool facilities (check out prices on hotel's website). Also the terminus for the Hop on Hop off buses round Malta is next to the hotel! Other small parks in vicinity open 24/7.
Close by is the Crafts & Recreational Village of Ta' Qali where you can shop for Maltese handmade gifts to take home and have a look at their factories. At Ta' Qali one can find the National Football Stadium for the football lovers, and a gym for the athletes (entrance at a fee). Also available free 24/7 is an open adult gym and wide space for runners and cyclists. For the young (2-16yrs) is the Adventure Park and Petting Farm - entrance is free for both. Public picnic areas can be found in the surrounding areas with free benches and chairs hidden amongst the trees for shelter. The wine experts or lovers might want to enjoy a tour at the Meridiana Wine Estate (pre-book a tour through their website). The popular Farmer's Market stalls selling only local veg and fruit will be set up every Tuesdays 0900-1700hrs and Saturdays 0630-1700hrs.
Next towns are Rabat, Mdina & Dingli about 5kms away from Attard (by Bus No 50,51 from Warda 2).
Another near town is Mosta most famous for the Dome of the Basilica of Santa Marija domineering the main area. Mosta can be easily reached on foot 30 mins from house or by bus. On the way to Mosta you can see the large shopping village of PAMA. Here you will find a large Supermarket and a shopping mall full of branded shops. There are also places to eat/drink round the supermarket such as KFC; Burger King; Starbucks, Dr Juice; Posh Turkish Kebab; Wok to Walk Chinese Cuisines; Zen Sushi and more.
FOR INTERNS WORKING AT MATER DEI HOSPITAL AND STUDENTS ATTENDING UNIVERSITY OF MALTA: Bus stop is 2 mins away which takes you straight to MDH and Uni. Bus No 106.
US EMBASSY TA QALI: ATTN INTERNS!! From house to Embassy it is about 20mins walk. Ideal location!

Payment will be settled in CASH ONLY on your arrival for the whole stay. If you decide to move out for a period of days, you can keep the room but no refund/s in monetary value or otherwise will be given while you are away. Your personal belongings can remain in the room, however, the host will not be responsible for any loss or damages incurred to your items, if any.

Staying at Sarah’s place is fine. It’s a great neighborhood. By the Gardens a big plus. Close to bus stop. Spacious room. Clean. Cats are great. Two minor hiccups. Ad indicated fan and when I asked about it during checkin, learned it was broken, would be removed, and was directed to use air conditioner. Which tenant pays for with coins. It was an option. I didn’t recall fan listed in post, so didn’t pursue it. Just before checkout, I learned and remembered that room was to come with a fan. There was a miscommunication. And post simply needed to be updated. Room photos need to be updated as well. The place is more than fine.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
