About the Homestay
English teacher who can also offer English lessons during your stay and is perfectly located opposite Malta's capital, Valletta, next to the Grand Harbour. I live alone with my sausage dog! There are three bedrooms: One large bedroom with antique four-poster bed and if there are 3-4 guests, there is a bunk bed room also available. Plus there is the third bedroom at the top of the house with access to the roof garden. The main bedroom has its own balcony and is very light and spacious, has Wi-Fi, a desk, a sofa, wardrobe and comes with a private marble bathroom. There is a step machine for exercise and the roof for yoga. 5 mins away bikes are for hire, boat rides to the capital take 5 mins, a bus station and 10 mins from airport. This area is the real Malta with history all around. My 300 year old home is in the Three Cities area: bohemian, shabby chic, a fortified 'walled' city on the Mediterranean. Watch the cruise ships, fishing boats, take a boat trip and absorb this vibrant area with its bistros, bars, galleries, museums, promenades and the biggest flea market and street market. Many of the streets are pedestrian-only so child and runner-friendly and the American University of Malta is 2 minutes away.

About the Area
My house is inside the lively Three Cities which is a Baroque walled city, home to the Knights of Jerusalem, 5 mins to Fort Sant Angelo: home of the Knights of Malta. We are right by the marina with some beautiful walks. There is a bus stop outside and a ferry to the capital, Valletta, which runs every 20 mins. It is close to the airport, 10 mins by car, and you can hire bikes here and electric cars from the promenade which we overlook. there are many small shops here and restaurants and bars.

This guest awarded the host 4 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
What a wonderful place. Diane’s place is very unusual. Almost felt like a king there And she was very helpful. So if you go to Malta, then try to stay here.
Lovely stay with Diane. Great host and can’t fault anything. Lovely quirky medieval house and room. Will definitely stay again.
Our first experience of a homestay. Diane and Wolfgang (the dog) were excellent hosts. The house was unique and we will probably book another homestay.
Diane is a good host. She answers you quickly when you contact her by mail or by sms. You can have good conversations with her. You find at her home what you need for sleeping, washing and have a breakfast. Her house is calm and well located to visit the 3 cities and Valletta.
Recently i had the Pleasure of staying With Diane in the beautiful Cospicua.
This was my first time ever travelling to Europe and Travelling Alone and Diane and her adorable little four legged companion Wolfgang made me feel right at home just as if i was staying with a family member or close friend.
From the moment i arrived she was more then accommodating, helped me with my bags from out on the main street, got me settled into my room which i felt had a 'super cozy bohemian artist' feel to it on the top floor which had adequate space, bathroom and door straight onto the rooftop court yard.
She was happy to answer any questions i had about Malta, she took an interested in me and my journey, she was always there to greet me in the morning, (i love having someone to have my morning coffee and toast with) and was there to warmly welcome me back from my daily adventures each evening.
She was Informative, very bubbly, talkative and all round good energy.
i am looking forward to the Day i return to Malta and i hope Diane is still Hosting as i very much look forward to staying with her again.
I spent 3.5 weeks with Diane to improve my English.
Diane is a wonderful host and friend and the best English teacher I know.
The house is lovingly furnished, Diane is always friendly and helpful. Her dog Wolfgang is lovely and happy about new guests.
I definitely gave her 5 points, the next language trip to Diane is already booked :-)
The double-bedroom, which my Girlfriend and I had was seperated by a small corridor from staircase in the house and we also had our own private bathroom. All rooms were clean, tidy and in the beauty of an old house (just look at the pictures - it's really as amazing as it looks like). The location of the place was also great. Bus stops, the ferry to Valetta and a grocery store were nearby. So already the location, the house and our room surpassed our expectations. But that wasn't all. As wonderful as the house was the host.
Diane herself was cheerful and always very helpful. We could keep to ourself and have our privacy (she' was also very respectful in that regard), but could also have a cup of tea and a chat with her (or very long ones ;). Before we came to Malta we made some plans, which parts and sites we would like to visit, but from the first day on we consulted Diane, what sites would be worthwhile visiting and we rarely opened our travel guide again.
Diane was all in all a wonderful host and also a reason, that my Girlfriend and I had a beautiful stay in Malta. And I'm sure she'll always be and stay like that for all the upcoming guests at her place.
Estubimos alojados en casa de Diane.
Una persona encantadora.
Un sitio muy agradable, con buenas comunicaciones.
Sitio perfecto para visitar las 3 ciudades y La Valetta.
