Our house is a second floor maisonette. The House is around 10 years old and all rooms are equipped with modern furniture. Guest bedrooms are quite spacious, and they all have air-conditioners which have been installed just the previous year (Note: we ask extra charge for using a/c since electricity is very expensive in Malta). All rooms are bright during the day since they all have large windows. You can choose to have a bedroom with your own private en-suite or a room with a private toilet in a walking distance. All rooms have their own particular style – the one with the private en-suite has the ‘Sea-side’ style whilst the other guest bedroom is in ‘Mexican’ style.
At the House one can relax in the common large area, which includes Living-room, Kitchen, and Dining. The house has also a very cosy roof garden which is in ‘Pirates’ style, and from the roof one can be delighted with the view of Mdina – the old capital city of Malta, Mtarfa, and the Mosta Dome to say the least. One may also fancy spending time in the back terrace overlooking private gardens, which is connected with the ‘Mexican’ room.
The house is situated in Hope Street or as it is better known – Isperanza Street. Every Monday morning, the street market takes place in Nicolo’ Isouard Street, which is just opposite the house, where one can find some interesting items. Just a few meters away from the house, further down Isperanza Street, one can be fascinated by the Isperanza Chapel which is an interesting complex consisting of chapel and cave dedicated to Our Lady of Good Hope. It is situated on the side of Wied il-Ghasel and its building traces its origin to a famous legend in Maltese folklore.
We try as much as possible to spend our time with guests although we both work full time. When we have time we drive them around Malta and enjoy spending time together.
We are a cross-cultural family, speaking different languages, such as Maltese, Russian, English, Italian. Anastasia is a cross-cultural psychologist and Massimo is a social worker. We like travelling, meeting new people, having new experience and of course studying different cultures. Books are our huge passion. At the moment we are full time parents to our two years old son Andrey. He is also crazy about books and travelling.
