About the Area
Salini is a village in Malta. The borders of Salini are Baħar Iċ-Ċagħaq, Magħtab, Naxxar and St. Paul's Bay. Salini is mostly known for its salt pans and the Salini Catacombs. The word salini means salt pans in (website hidden). Paul's Bay is a town in Malta, situated in the north east of the island of Malta, sixteen kilometers from the capital city Valletta. Its name refers to the shipwreck of Saint Paul. (According to the Bible, St. Paul was shipwrecked on an island which many scholars have identified as Malta on his voyage from Caesarea to Rome. The Maltese people believe that it was St. Paul who laid the foundations of Christianity on the island.)
The town is a modern tourist area - especially Qawra and Bugibba are popular nearby Salini. There are also some very pretty natural highlights close by. Heading north there is Mistra Bay, its headland and St Paul's Island. Going west and crossing the island towards Ġnejna Bay and Golden Bay is the scenic Wardija Ridge. Misrah Ghar il-Kbir (informally known as Clapham Junction) is a prehistoric site in Malta near the Dingli Cliffs. It is best known for its "cart ruts" (A complex network of tracks gouged in the rock. The age and purpose of the tracks are still a mystery of Maltese history. In general, most archaeologists presume that the site developed about 2000 BC after new settlers came over from Sicily to start the Bronze Age in Malta.).
Malta is a small island in the Mediterranean but it has a lot to offer: culture, history, beaches, nightlife, diving, etc. Here in St. Paul's Bay you can find all of these.
We live in the district of St Paul's Bay were you can find Malta National Aquarium, Beaches, Beach Clubs, Cinema, Bars, Restaurants, Shops, Diving Centres, Bus stops - Practically everything is within a short walking distance.

Ray was a good host. Respect the rules and the other guests, and you should not have any issues. Conveniently close to a grocery, a choice of restuarants, the beach and lovely picturesque hikes along the coast or in the countryside. Very good value for money.
Ray was friendly and helpful, especially when public transport was not co-operating.
Рэй очень приятный и милый, в доме все чисто и аккуратно. По приезду презент бутылка вина, что очень кстати после дороги. В 5 минутах ходьбы от дома автобусная остановка. Все круто!!
Five stars are not enough to express how much we loved our stay with Ray!
Ray is one of the greatest guys we have ever met - he is kind, polite and attentive - has great stories from all around the world. He was very helpful, suggested us places to go. Always asked if we had everything we needed in the flat.
We stayed for more than a week, all was great, the room was clean and comfortable. The flat has everything you would need and expect from a bnb (kitchen, washing machine etc.), plus you can ask for beachtowels as well.
The place is very close to a lovely restaurant where we spent several evenings and mornings for breakfast. The food and the people are great there too!
You can also find a small grocery shop (where you can buy a pass for malta public transport) and the bus stops nearby as well. There is even a tiny beach close where we could hang out.
We had an amazing time there. And we can only encourage everyone to stay at Ray's. He made our Malta Experience even greater.
Thank you, Ray, for everything, next time we will try to bring some pálinka! ;)
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour.
Le logement est bien situé, les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres.
This guest awarded the host 4 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
I stayed for 16 weeks at BNB Lodge and it was a great experience!
The apartments were tidy and clean. Ray and Petra were always very helpful and nice. The BNB Lodge is also close to beautiful beaches like Golden Bay Beach or Melliah Bay Beach. The price-performance ratio is good. For shopping you can head for the small convenience store around the corner or for Bugibba within 10-15 min by foot.
All in all a very pleasant stay in Salina. Thank you a lot!
5 Herzen !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alles war super wie im 5 Star Hotel, 5 Star Service SUPER !!!
Not everything is as beautiful as described in the announcement. Not far from the apartment is a duck farm, and in the evenings there was a terrible smell, it was impossible to sleep. Bed linen smelled of washing powder, from which my wife had an allergy. Petra promised to wash it, but just beautifully folded the linens like it was, and left. Finally, my wife washed the bed linens in the bath herself. Neighbors told us that the whole kitchen was flooded with water and from this furniture and utensils has a bad smells. The hosts behaved unfriendly, sometimes even - impertinent and unpleasant. As for the room - to this we had no special complaints - everything more or less correspond to the photos. In general, think carefully before booking their rooms.
Thank you Ray and Petra for having us at your place. Your lodge is good for people that don't want to stay in busy and noisy streets. Relaxing place to be with a wonderful seaview. We also met interesting guests to share daily maltese experiences over breakfast. Hope to see you soon, alba and attilio
