About the Homestay
Our place could be thought of as a time machine of sorts. Located in a spot where Mexico's colonial past and modern present coincide, it could be described as an aesthetically intervened Coyoacan apartment from the 50s. Its furnished with a mixture of antiques (some more than a century old), handcrafts, and new furniture, combining ambience with modern comfort. We also have a small, private garden, with a lemon tree, flowers and a nice table to sit down and just enjoy.
The room we offer is huge--really. It has a king size bed, its own, private bathroom, a tv, lots of closet space, rocking chairs, and a nice pure wool rug, comfy enough to sleep on. I'm positive you will like it.
Our apartment is fully furnished, functional and, in my opinion, quite interesting to look at and comfortable to live in. It's located in a quiet street, so noise isn't much of an issue. More so, because of its many windows, light isn't a problem either. Guests have a full bathroom of their own and share with us the rest of the common areas--our nice, large kitchen is, of course, at their disposal and are free to sit at our table, whether we are there or not.
The place is surrounded by jacaranda trees, which turn a pale violet during the spring, and multicolored bougainvilleas climb its walls. From our door, you can walk calmly through the most gorgeous of Coyoacan's streets and be at its XVI century's church in 15 minutes. Cafes, shops, bars, restaurants... you will have all the best that colonial Coyoacan has to offer at a walking distance. More so, there is a large supermarket a block away, as well as banks, drugstores and shopping malls rally close by.
