Folklor Suites is a warm homestay to experience Chiapas...Local experiences accompanied by regional décor! Location is suitable for all the touristic spots in the city. We are two blocks from conveniences store and near the way to the Airport and San Cristóbal highway... Do not worry overthinking, We want a pleasant and warm stay for you.

The neighborhood is safe and calm :D easy access from Tuxtla´s main avenue.
You are allowed to park your car in our own parking. Public transportation is one block apart, also convenience stores (oxxo, chedrahui)...

House Rules
Check in at 1:00 pm
- Check out at 11:00 am. Failure to comply with the checkout schedule incurs in an additional charge equivalent to one night rate and the suite must be unoccupied.
- If you arrive earlier and prefer not to check-in yet, we will be pleased to store your luggage until your Suite is ready.
- For any reason, unregistered people are not allowed to access the FolklorSuites facilities. We reserve the right of admission of accompanying or occasional visits, in no case will be allowed access to the rooms. It is a security measure for both the customer and FolklorSuites
- Removing items from any room (or it’s designated area) or moving them out of the building is prohibited. (ex. do not carry the towels out)
- Guests will be held responsible for any loss or damage to the Suites property caused by themselves...We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the negligent or reckless act of the guest to the Suites crafts, property or structure.
- Smoking is only allowed in open areas like the garden or the hallway, ensure you have opened the window first.
- FolklorSuites requires guests to have a quiet time between 22:30 and 07:00.

Thank you Malou for the amazing stay and experience. We opted to have Malou show us around the areas we wanted to visit-- specifically Sumidero Canyon and then San Cristobal (and surrounding villages). The apartment itself was sparkling clean and lovely... in a central location easy to access from the airport and in good proximity to the other ecotourism and culture hubs. There is a beautiful courtyard with mango trees and brilliant sun. Malou put out fresh fruit and amazing coffee for us and on our last day prepared an authentic Chiapanian breakfast. Malou is knowledgable and well connected in the community and was able to show us the real Chiapas experience in a rather condensed time (wish we had more)-- her english is great and she is super friendly and personable. Getting us last minute reservations at an amazing traditional restaurant, helping us book transportation, showing us local attractions and filling up on the best street food. For one excursion she wasnt able to come with us, so she connected us with an amazing guide and transportation. Having her made the trip logistically simple and jam packed with culture, nature and fun! We would highly highly highly recommend staying with Malou!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
