The host family’s house is located in the Old Medina of Rabat (downtown), where you can find the “souk”, the beach , Bouregreg River and the “Kasbah des Oudaya”. All of these places are about a 7-minute-walk from the host family’s house. Moreover, if you fancy visiting the Hassan Tower and other locations in Rabat and Salé, you can always take the tram from the downtown station. The house is surrounded by many restaurants, cafes and shops that offer all kind of local traditional products.
The host family’s house comprises 5 rooms for guests, 2 spacious living rooms with comfortable traditional mattresses. All kind of traditional breakfast , lunch and dinner meals will be provided to you during your stay, such as Cousoucs, Tagine, Seffa and pastas... And if you are vegetarian or you have any kind of special diet, the host family will take care of it so you can totally feel at home.
Surely, Moroccans are known for their heartwarming hospitality, so it might come as no surprise for you if you become part of the family. If your stay coincides a religious, cultural or family event as weddings, birthdays, Aids, believe me, you can all along expect an invitation.

I am a master student in marketing and communication and I used to work in study abroad department, so I have experience in establishing programs for internationals to travel and volunteer around the country, and I am also a member with a group of backpackers and travellers, we travel to Atlas mountains and to remote villages for discovering them and in the same time for doing volunteering and hiking.
Lamia is the daughter and the leader of the host family, she is Henna designer,and she works in Moroccan weddings, and she loves Gnawa music.
Soufiane her small brother ; is studying English studies in the university and in the same time he is a trainee in Soufitel hotel, thier mother is a house wife and she is the one who take care of the guests with the help of the maid , they serve all kind of Moroccan food to internationals,

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
