We offer private rooms and suites, including continental/Nepali breakfast, in a cozy house just 5 mins walk from Patan.
Our House is also an urban community hub that brings together curious minds and accomplished professionals - travelers and city residents - from all walks of life to inquire about personal responsibility for social good. We are working on urban sustainability - food production, zero waste, and greywater recycling - and building a community library within our space. Our house also hosts an urban renewal initiative that aims to create and resist for a better Patan. And, we are secretariat to Kathmandu Food Collective, hosting cosy homemade dinners to connect people over food.
During your stay, you will immediately find yourself surrounded by a unique group of people, in Kathmandu, who work hard, play fair, smile wide, think deep, and dream big. We operate the house as a bed and breakfast, and most of our guests stay longer and are involved in social projects and enterprises across Nepal.

About the Area
We are located in Bakhundole, a peaceful area ten-minutes walk from the bustling historic city of Patan. Our neighborhood is home to restaurants and cafes that serve all world cuisines and allows for a nice, relaxed walk into the surroundings that offer a fascinating display of all things traditional and recent.
We encourage our guests to head out on long walks, eat at hundreds of local cafes, explore Patan, and find small corners and squares which are oases in this intense South-Asian city. Just ask us for more information.

House Rules
1. Our house is a hub of social activities as we work on a lot of urban causes. Please be mindful of your actions, maintain an awareness for other guests and patrons, and take care of your belongings.
2. You can invite friends over to hangout at our space. However, all unregistered guests (outside of your booking request) must be accompanied by you and shouldn't be left alone in the house.
3. Smoking is not allowed inside the house. You can use open spaces and your balcony.
4. Please clean the kitchen area immediately after cooking and eating. Only keep your stuff in designated areas in kitchen.
5. Please contact us if you intend to bring pets.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
