We live in Mt Albert, Auckland – its on the edge of downtown Auckland and blessed with great bus and train connections to much of the city and major education centers (and easy public transport airport connections). We are also close to the main motorway into the city or to the north of New Zealand, and the motorway to the airport. We have a single bedroom. We share the bathroom and the kitchen with all the basics. Unlimited WiFi internet access free of charge. The property is on a main road but we are blessed with an unexpected bird rich garden (complete with hammock) that is available for use. We are a couple; he a New Zealand writer who works from home, she an Indian national working in the city. The place is controlled by a solitary cat.

House Rules
ID check: Before check-in our guest will have to provide any government ID proof (such as passport, driver's license [driver's license should show your full name with address], etc.
Payment Method: We require our guests to pay 100% of the booking in advance before check-in.
Cancellation Policy: Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.
Cleaning fees- If the booking is for two weeks or less there will be extra $25 for cleaning along with room rent charge
If the booking is for more than two weeks there will be extra cleaning charge of $25 per fortnight.
Laundry usage - Laundry will be available free only if it is full load and once a week.
Smoking is not allowed.

It was an awesome experience and a warm welcome to the country. A nice little house just a couple of minutes walk to the train station makes it so convenient to stay & explore the city. On top of that Varsha & Michael are perfect hosts always ready to help you with your silly questions & ready to feed you with some local news. It really helps to feel the lifestyle and get used to local things.
All in all it was a nice month which I would never forget. Totally recommend to stay there!August 2019

The host cancelled the booking on the day of arrival.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
