We live in a 5 bedroomed two story house. It is a modern house with 3 bedrooms down stairs with lounge and bathroom. Up stairs has a double bedroom with its own bath room very close,
The home is 10min walk to bus/train station or a bus stop is just two minutes way to catch buses into Auckland city.

You are staying in a upmarket family home so we have a family atmosphere. There are no children in our family only two adults. Being polite and quiet is a must if other guest are here at the same time as your stay.
Smoking is not allowed.
Violet and Paul are not only lovely couple but also kind,friendly couple.
The house was so clean and tidy.

How to begin... Violet and Paul are Angels. The first people we met in NZ, and nobody could dream more than meeting them. Violet is for sure our NZ mother, always caring, making sure we are fine, always worried about the cleanliness of the house, cooking when possible, and it is such a pleasure talking with her ! Just the fact of hearing her laugh makes your day ! And Paul... a teddy bear. So generous, patient, funny, and smart ! He drove us everywhere during 2 days, helping us to find the best van for our Road Trip, willing us to take the right decision and making sure we are happy about it.
Actually there are so many things to say about this lovely house and hosts, we could write a book about it.
Simply, our stay has been unexpectedly incredible, we cannot thank enough Violet and Paul for who they are and what they do. The beginning of our NZ journey is memorable , thank you from our deep heart.

I stayed with Violet and Paul together for 27 nights.
From the first moment on, I felt so welcome by both of them, as I would be their own son.
Violet loves to talk to her homestays and provides them a family atmosphere, as she mentions in her introduction.
I can't remember, when I have had such a great and funny time in my life before.
Her husband Paul always gave me advices how to get around, which sights are more or less worth-seeing.
According to the bad reviews Violet got, I definitely can't confirm them.
The rumors about Paul that he's moody and yells at the homestays are not true.
He's a man who doesn't like to get told lies straight into his face, in which I absolutely agree with him.
If you're keeping to their house rules, being nice and honest with them, this is the best homestay I can recommand in Auckland.
Whenever I come back to Auckland, my choice would be the same again.
We (me and my two sons) have stay with this homestay in July 2018. We are overseas students at ELA English School. My aim was to give my sons chance to practice English language with homestay family members (the wife Violet and the husband Pual). Now, I am going to tell our experience with homestay as it is without courtesy and I will not over or under rate this homestay because people look at reviewers comments and take it in account to decide go further or not. Location: not far from the city center, bus stop 5-6 mints walk from home and 30-40 to get city center by bus. Rooms: Nice, Clean full equipped with essentials. Wife (Violet): She runs homestay business for many years and she is very nice lady, helpful and positively response to any requests or demands from me or my sons. She is very polite, honest and generous. For above reasons I highly recommend this homestay for people who are English native speakers or for those who aren’t need to learn English or don’t have children. Husband (Pual): He is some time nice man, helpful. But sometimes he is with bad mood and start telling orders (do this, don’t do this) and sometimes doing crazy things like; yelling on me or my sons, turn off TV while sons watching TV, turn off the heater and take it to the store which is unacceptable for me or my sons or any one. For these reasons I decided to move out two days earlier without refund. For that I will not recommend this homestay for those people with children. Last day he offered me to drop me off at new homestay and I appreciated this.
This was our first experience as Homestay guests albeit for one night and a very satisfying one. From the first contact with Violet and her husband Paul, my husband and I felt very much at home. The genuine warmth exuded from them both. Superb all round and would definitely stay again when occasion arises. Thank you sincerely Violet and Paul

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 199 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
