I am a self employed business woman and I live alone. My house is a 2.5 bedroom cosy modernised bungalow in Grey Lynn, one of Auckland's best suburbs and only a short drive to Auckland's CBD. Walk up the road for great cafes and bars and public transport. Close to the Ponsonby strip for wining, dining and great shopping which is home to all of New Zealand's top designers stores. Minutes from the motorway to take you in any direction of the city. Walking distance to Auckland Zoo and you can enjoy a stroll through a great wildlife reserve practically on the doorstep.
I enjoy cooking so the kitchen is very well equipped with french doors leading out to a sunny sheltered courtyard/BBQ area and an open plan dining room. The lounge enjoys amazing view at the front of the house.
The house has 1 modern bathroom with a separate toilet and laundry.
My house also has my office where I work from with a sofa bed which I use as a temporary extra bed for guests to stay when needed and available on request only.
Please note my house is not suitable for children or pets.
My house is at the end of a cul-de-sac in a very quiet street.

About the Area
My house is located in one of Auckland's best and most sought after suburbs. It is a quiet and safe area.
I am less than 10 mins drive to the CBD and approximately 20 mins drive from the airport.
The bus stop is approx 10mins walk from the house and there are lots of bus options to choose from all within a short walking distance.
There is plenty of off street parking outside the house.
About 10 mins walk away is the local shopping centre with some great cafes and bars to choose from. There are 2 supermarkets within 5 mins drive as well as a fantastic butcher, bakery and specialty grocer store with absolutely everything and anything you could ever want.
Drive a further few minutes and you will arrive at Auckland's trendiest and most well known and very busy Ponsonby strip which is full of cafes, restaurants, designer clothing stores, homeware stores, art galleries basically everything!
Grey Lynn is home to professionals, families and a strong creative community.
Every Sunday there is a Farmers market from 9am-12pm where you can shop for artisan products and organic vegetables and more including an authentic Italian pizza vendor cooking up pizzas from his mobile pizza oven !
Getting into the CBD is easy from any of the bus stops or by car.

House Rules
Please keep my home secure by activating the alarm when you leave the house and the front door is locked from the outside. Please ensure the kitchen doors and all windows are secure before you leave the house.
Feel free to use the kitchen but please leave it as tidy as you found it. That applies to the rest of the house e.g. the laundry, bathroom and lounge. Treat my home as you would your own home.
Please don't invite people into my home without checking with me first.
I don't mind if you smoke but you must smoke outside.

Tania is an amazing woman. It was the best stay i ever had. Tania is so kind, it was a pleasure to stay with her and met her. It felt like home. I highly recommend to stay when you search a nice room in auckland.

Tania a été génial et très professionnelle de part nos échanges mail avant notre arrivée, très disponibles pour les diverses interrogations. A notre arrivée je me suis sentie très bien sa maison a énormément de charme et Tania nous a tout de suite mis à l'aise en nous faisons le tour du propriétaire, autour du diner le soir qu'elle nous a gentiment préparé nous avons pu faire vraiment connaissance et honnêtement, une impression de la connaitre depuis très longtemps. J'ai adoré y séjourné, j'y ai laissé ma fille y séjourné lors d'un stage sur Auckland et vraiment je me suis sentie rassurée. Tania est joyeuse, plein de vie, "easy-going" disponible pour bavarder, très sociable j'ai adoré mon séjour chez elle. Merci pour tout. Je garde précieusement cette adresse pour mes déplacements sur Auckland. Feeling like at home. Merci Tania

Tania has been a friendly, helpful and overall an excellent host. Her place is also super clean and comfortable. The home is situated in an awesome suburb within close proximity to the City Centre. Highly recommended.

Tania cut short my stay , she did not fulfill her commitment, was rude and unprofessional and basically I only paid for the 4 days I was there she made up a story about having to put up a friend who apparently became homeless due to a broken down relationship, she left me at a corner st and I had to make my own way to a hostel. I would not recommend at all she had a mate stand over whilst I got my money from an atm because for some reason she thought I would not pay.

It was my best homestay experience. Tania is really kind and absolutely wonderful. She has a great knowledge about auckland and it helped me a lot. Her house is located in one of Auckland's best suburbs. A really beautiful house. She made me feel at home. I had the chance to meet her friends too. They are wonderful people. She is friendly, helpful and I will never forget the wonderful time I spent here and cannot wait to come back and meet her again.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
