The room is very private, you will not be disturbed there during your stay. We ask for a bond so that we don't have to do regular inspections and as long as you look after the room and leave it in a good condition for the next person you will get all your bond money back. We have furnished it with a single bed (very soft spring mattress), a set of drawers, and a computer desk. There is a single built-in wardrobe. We supply linen and towels, and any bathroom supplies you might need.
Your hosts are Stuart and Janelle. We have been married 4 years and have no children. Stuart is an artist and Janelle runs a business and we are often available if you need help or have questions about the city. We share our house with one other long-term stayer, a female university student. We have 2 pet ducks that roam the back yard and garden, we have 1 cat, and we have some friendly rats that are kept in their cages. We hope you will also like animals!

About the Area
We live in a very convenient location in Woolston next to the Heathcote River. Your room overlooks a walkway next to the riverbank. It is close to parks, and a short 3-5 minute walk away from shops including a 24/7 convenience store, and the #3 bus stop which will take you to the airport, Sumner beach, CPIT and Canterbury University, and into town where you can catch other buses.

The gate must be kept shut at all times.
The heater inside your room must be turned off before you leave the house.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
