A new home on the channel edge in sunny Mapua. My husband and I have one very old dog and two cats and love to travel and meet people - or have them come to us for a relaxed stay.
The room available has sea views on meters from the water edge, seperate bathroom with deep stand alone bath and huge shower. A seperate toilet is right next door.
Make use of bikes, kayaks, spa pool, swimming pool.
In Mapua there are award winning restaurants and great cafes. The ferry that moors outside our home runs a service to Rabbit Island - part of the national bikeway'

Situated in the seaside village of Mapua - 20 minutes from Nelson Airport. Its only 1.25 hours to Takaka in Golden Bay and MApua is surrounded by artists, wineries, galleries, beaches, restaurants.

Idyllic location, room and ensuite great, Sally made sure that that we felt at home - had a lovely time here.

Sally was so welcoming... Wayne was away on a fishing trip for most of our stay! The house is beautiful, really well appointed and with stunning views over the water. There are decks everywhere to catch the sun or avoid the wind. The spa pool is lovely on the sea side of the house while the swimming pool is at the front. Sally just welcomed us as if we had known her for ages! Our first experience of a homestay and it was excellent.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
