Hi! I am Claudia. I live by myself in a small three-story house within a "quinta" (gated community) in a wonderful location in Barranco, one block from the Bridge of Sighs, the sea view, and the Bajada de Baños (path down to the beach). I wanted to open my house to travelers. I like guests to feel at home during their stay here and expect them to take care of the house as if it was theirs.
I appreciate respect, tidiness, and consideration. I hope I am able to guide you and advise you about places you might not find in travel guides, and tips about moving around the district the city.
You can watch the cliff and the ocean below 50 mts from the house. I have two rooms on the second floor for guests (in Peru, we call the ground floor first, and the first floor second)
Guests have access to the living and dining rooms, the kitchen, the patio, half bathroom on the ground floor, and a full bathroom on the second floor. The third floor is private and off-limits. I sleep, work, and have my own bathroom there.
The fee includes electricity, gas, hot water, wifi, use of kitchen (for light/quick cooking/warming only, please). Towels and linen are changed once a week for stays longer than a week. One parking space is available inside my gated comunity for an US $8 fee per day
If you need to wash your clothes, there are several inexpensive laundries in the area for S/.4 (little more that US$1 per kilogram) that wash, dry and fold clothes for you.
Check-in: 14.00 hrs
Check-out: 11.00 hrs.
Early check-in: if you are arriving earlier than my check-in time (14:00hrs) you may ask if I will be home to keep your luggage until then and come back at 14:00hrs. A second option is to ask if the the room is available so you may occupy it earlier (US $12), and the third option is to pay the previous night so you have the guarantee that the room will be available as soon as you arrive.
Late check-out (same options as with early check-in)
Unless you come with my reliable taxi driver who has copies of the keys and can let you in, I will be home to greet you. If you need to contact me when I am out, you may phone or send me a message and I will reply as soon as possible.
If you are very sensitive to humidity, please be aware that, in Lima, levels might reach 99% during winter, and that Barranco (as Miraflores, San Isidro, Chorrillos, etc.) is a coastal district, so it's humid here.
Booking
To secure your booking, I ask for 50% payment through PayPal when booking (I can wait for this payment three days if your reservation dates are at least one month away, but if it´s within the next 30 days I need you to secure the payment within 24 hours after booking.) You may pay the remaining amount in cash on arrival.
Peruvian taxes' agency asks me to fill a form that includes passport (foreigners) or DNI (Peruvian) number of every guest. Please send a photo of yours when booking (also for safety reasons)
If you want me to send my reliable taxi driver to pick you up from the airport, please send your flight info asap and he will be waiting when you leave customs with a sign with your name on it.

We enjoyed our three-night stay with Claudia in the lively Barranco District of Lima. The location was perfect for walking and felt very safe, even at night. We had two rooms, side by side for us and our two daughters. Claudia’s home is very comfortable and well kept and Claudia is friendly and helpful. Our only challenge was that she seems very particular, so we felt a bit like we were tiptoeing and never completely relaxed. However, that is also often just part of traveling with children and staying in someone else’s home. Overall, I would recommend this Homestay!
