Our home is located 15-20 mins from the centre of Cusco in a rural community called Sencca where many people take their animals out to pasture during the day and live a traditional way. The house and gardens have incredible views of both Salkantay and Ausangate mountains and over the city of Cusco.
We are a Peruvian/Australian couple with two young children and we speak English and Spanish at home. Yom is an experienced and qualified adventure tour guide who also speaks the local language of Quechua.
Rachel works from home and is available to assist guests during their stay. We enjoy travel, sharing Australian and Peruvian meals and meeting people from all over the world. We have 2 dogs in the yard who will shower you in affection once they get to know you!
We have a guesthouse on the property which offers two double bedrooms and an ensuite style bathroom upstairs and an open plan living/dining/kitchen area and sunroom downstairs with a laundry area just outside. A wood fireplace keeps the home warm during those cold Andes Mountain nights.
Breakfast items are provided during your stay to prepare at your own tastes, and we can organise additional meals and/or tourist activities upon request, for an additional charge.

Rachel was absolutely lovely! And her guest house had all that we needed. She arranged or transportation and was willing to chat with me about any questions I had. Rachel supplied us with food for breakfast as well as picked up some things for us to have as snacks when she went to the market herself. She also arranged two excellent full day tours that were incredible, and was so responsive in all correspondence. Our only trouble was that there was loud music playing in the area until late into the night and dogs barking, so this impacted our sleep. Also, a traveler should know that it is a bit of a walk if you need more food than can be found in the local mini market. Finally, as with most places you'll encounter, it was cold at night. Fortunately, we had a wood burning stove that knocked the chill off the main floor. It was cold upstairs in the bedrooms, but blankets we're nice and warm.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
