My wife and I live in an apartment very well located, two blocks from the tourist and residential district of Miraflores, the modern center of Lima. We offer for rent 2 of the rooms in our apartment.
We are pleased to serve visitors who come to us. I am an inveterate traveler, Google Local Guide level 8, tour guide and chef, all of which help our guests enjoy a more pleasant stay, rich in special experiences. We speak English, Papiamento and Spanish and we would love to share our experiences and stories with you and your group, and to hear what you share with us.
Our interests are traveling, cooking, talking about world geopolitics, fixing the world with our big ideas (yes!), trying all the kinds and brands of olive oil and coffee we can, and collecting notes and coins from Peru.
The rooms that I offer you are very spacious, fully furnished, with a wall-to-wall built-in closet. In the first one there is ample space for three single beds, or for a double bed and a single bed; It has a private bathroom inside it. In the second, there is room for 4 single beds or a double bed and 2 single beds; the corresponding bathroom is right next door.
Very close, within walking distance, we have the Huaca La Merced, which is an archaeological center of the Ichma culture, which flourished between the years 900 and 1470 AD. In addition, there are parks and areas for walking, pharmacies, bakeries, supermarkets, cafeterias, restaurants, two shopping centers, etc.
Regarding your security: the urbanization where the apartment is located is safe, with serenage (surveillance service in the streets provided by the municipality), as well as surveillance in the building 24 hours a day. The apartment has an armored access door and a safe in each room. Also, if you like, you can be offered optional hospitalization insurance for accidents or illness, as well as insurance against theft.
We have a wide selection of teas and infusions, as well as organic coffee, which are at your free disposal in the kitchen, to which you have access. Likewise, the dining room, living room and common areas are at your disposal.
The building has an outdoor rest and exercise area. The apartment has WiFi Internet, cable TV with flat screen TV, washer/dryer, board and iron, hot and cold water in bathrooms and kitchen. Please note that the use of the washer/dryer is a free service for guests with a minimum stay of four days. The manipulation of the machine will only be done by my wife or me.
A welcome basket of fruit and/or flowers is included, as well as a daily newspaper if the visitors are Spanish-speaking. A small cake will be offered free of charge in case one of our visitors has a birthday during their stay with us.
Your stay excludes cleaning the room and making the beds, but every third day we will change the bed linen and the double sets of towels that we will offer you.
Your stay includes a very light complementary breakfast, but we can offer (and recommend) the memorable breakfasts we serve (local style) against additional payment. Likewise, you can order Chef Vitti to prepare heavenly lunches and dinners. Finally, you have the option of cooking against an additional payment.

SPECIAL: In stays of 4 or more nights, and if your group consists of a minimum of 4 people, I offer you these extras completely free (tour guide and chef fees are included; the cost of tickets, food, supplies and/or or transportation are excluded):
1 Guided visit to an artisan center to learn about the different types of Peruvian crafts. If desired, items can be purchased as souvenirs and as gifts.
2 A free tour to the fabulous Magical Water Circuit, Guinness Record to the largest aquatic complex of fountains in the world in a public park, and to the water fountain with the highest geyser: 80 meters high.
3 Interactive visit to the Surquillo Market, which includes:
a Tasting of Peruvian fruits.
b The purchase of ingredients to prepare the invigorating Carob Cocktail.
c The purchase of fresh fish and shellfish for the preparation of the internationally famous ceviche.
d Upon arriving back at the apartment, the group will help chef Vitti in the preparation of both.
4 Night visit to Delia's wheelbarrow, one of the four best Peruvian anticucheras (the journey can be done on foot).
OF YOUR INTEREST? Lima has become an international medical destination. If you need contacts with specialist doctors to fix your teeth or cure your addiction to cigarettes, I will be happy to guide you to some specialists.
RESERVATIONS:
Please note that I require you to pay one (1) day's stay in advance to reserve it (regardless of the 15% commission that Homestay.com charges you). You can make your payment via PayPal, or by transfer to a bank account in the United States, Europe, Peru, Curaçao or Venezuela.
The rest of the payment must be made upon arrival, through an instant credit operation: cash, PayPal, Bitcoin or credit card (MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Diners Club, UnionPay, JCB or Discover). Other services that you would like to pay for during your stay, such as meals, tours, etc., you could do so using these means.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:
If you need to cancel your reservation, I ask that you notify me at least seven (7) days in advance. Any cancellation made less than seven (7) days in advance will not be refunded.

About the Area
Our apartment is very centrally located at a distance of only two blocks from the tourist and residential district of Miraflores, the modern center of Lima. The distance to the Historical Center of Lima is only 10.3 km. Two blocks to the west, three to the north and three to the east are three main avenues with many transport and train options, apart from the affordable taxis that can be taken at the door of the house, served by a dozen reliable companies (among them Easy Taxi, Uber, Beat and Cabify.).
The area is quiet and safe, with serenazgo service (surveillance service in the streets provided by the municipality); There are two shopping centers within a few minutes walking, as well as pharmacies, supermarkets, fresh produce markets, beauty salons, coffee shops, restaurants, parks, banks, ATMs, etc.
Two nearby Medical Centers are at a distance of 8 and 11 minutes by car, respectively, and the closest clinics are 3 and 8 minutes away by car, respectively.
Also, within walking distance is a location of the Evangelical Pentecostal Church of the Worldwide Missionary Movement, as well as temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of the Jehovah's Witnesses, of the Seventh-day Adventists, and the Catholic Church.

House Rules
• Regarding the kitchen, you have 2 options:
1) You can make yourself a coffee or tea and use cups and plates. However, you cannot cook, but you can request that breakfast, lunch and/or dinner be prepared for you, against an extra payment; You will not be disappointed, I am an international chef. Please clean the kitchen and wash what you have used.
2) You can cook against an extra payment. You will have to clean the kitchen and wash what you have used.
• You can use the refrigerator in the kitchen to store water, soft drinks or any medication that needs refrigeration.
• It is not allowed to bring food to your room, use the dining room.
• Animals or third parties are not allowed in our house.
• This is your second home, treat it with care, as well as the furniture and utensils. What you break or damage you must pay for.
• Building and district regulations prevent noise after 11 pm.
• The rules of the building where the apartment is located prevent smoking inside the house or in common areas.
• It is not allowed to walk naked or semi-naked in common areas of the house.
• Drug use is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the authorities.

Victor is a great homestay host and the apartment is nice and in a safe location, within walking distance to Miraflores.
The breakfasts provided during my stay were varied and excellent. The lunches I ordered and chef Victor created were also delicious. It was a very nice way to experience traditional Peruvian foods.
Victor is very knowledgable in many things such as healthy living and economics. He is very kind and during my stay introduced me to neighbors and family members. We walked to the sea on Christmas day. It was all a very nice and interesting experience. Highly recommended.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
