We are a couple living in a village in the Vale do Douro. We love nature, we have only a cat as a pet, but like all animals, do a run or a walk. The House is the XVI century, has 3 bedrooms and a bathroom and a room outside the main house with toilet and bath tub. Surrounded by vineyards, fruit trees, olive trees and some garden spaces. Well equipped kitchen; lounge that opens onto a spacious terrace which overlooks a bend of the River Douro. We are within walking distance of Vila Real, Lamego and Peso da Ruler with great choices of cafes and restaurants. Our food is very good and Douro wines are a delight not to let provar.Temos of landscapes and monuments that should only be visited.

About the Area
The House of People's Fund is situated in a small village surrounded by vineyards, between Santa Marta and weight of Penaguião Ruler, the capital of the Douro Valley. We are just 10 minutes from the weight Ruler, 15 of the city of Lamego and 20 minutes from Vila Real. Public transport is 5 minutes from home, but are scarce; two buses in the morning and two in the afternoon between the city and the village of Lourentim. In Santa Marta Ruler and there are many restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy the rich Douro gastronomy and its famous wines.

Obrigada Sofia! Espero tenham tido uma boa estadia e uma boa prova em Santa Marta de Penaguião. Quando quiserem voltar com mais tempo, com a família ou amigos, gostarei de os receber.

Situé dans un minuscule hameau, perché a flan de colline, nous avons été reçu dans une ancienne et authentique ferme portugaise avec ses beaux vrais parquets massifs et ses meubles d'époque.
Étant seul dans l'aile de cette maison, (les autre chambres étant inoccupées) nous avons pu profiter de la totalité des locaux, rien que pour nous, dans un cadre magnifique, situé presque au bout du monde...
Bref! rien que du bonheur.
Maria a été très gentille et l'accueil à été parfait

How do I book?

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
