Homestay.com Launches Affiliate Program

Homestay.com, the premier destination for homestay experiences, today launched the first affiliate program for the homestay marketplace. Websites can now promote homestay accommodations to their customers, allowing their visitors and community members to explore the idea of staying in one of over 15,000 host-present accommodations listed on the site.

Homestays are an increasingly popular lodging option for consumers of all ages who want a more personalized, immersive and authentic travel experience. By connecting guests with hosts that share their interests and accommodations that fit their needs, Homestay.com has become the leading marketplace for host-present accommodations, a fast growing travel segment.

Interested websites can choose from a number of integration options to help maximize earning potential, ranging from direct tracked links from a selection of banners and buttons right through to more seamless API solutions. The program offers highly competitive commission structures, allowing affiliates to earn commissions on a cost-per-sale basis. The affiliate program is free to join, no application or setup fees or ongoing costs. With the launch of support for French, German and Italian this week -- on top of existing support for English, Spanish and Portuguese -- Homestay.com can support affiliates in a wide range of locations around the world. With over 30,000 hosts registered already on Homestay.com, 15,000 of these are available for booking now through the affiliate program.

"We are currently working with a number of key travel brands to roll out the affiliate program, and the interest and excitement we've seen so far is significant," said Alan Clarke, CEO of Homestay.com. "The homestay market is a rapidly growing and exciting space. We've seen it evolve well beyond its primarily educational origins, with a majority of our guests travelling for leisure today. Business travel is up significantly as well, and the typical age of our guests reflects these changes -- we've seen significant growth in guests over the age of 29 in the past year as the appeal of a less expensive, personal and unique experience becomes clear."

The affiliate program is being led by Hostelworld veteran and Homestay.com Vice President of Operations Yvonne Finlay, who brings Homestay.com significant experience in building and managing relationships to maximize sales and revenue opportunities.

"We're hugely excited by the launch of our Affiliate offering," said Finlay. "We view partnerships as an integral way to showcase and promote this unique travel product. The Homestay.com affiliate program is designed to make homestay revenue opportunities accessible to travel brands that already carry existing accommodation options like hotels, hostels and B&Bs. Our guests book travel through Homestay.com for two important reasons: they get to engage in a more personal local experience, and they get more value for their money. If your community members share either of these values, we should work together."

Websites interested in joining the affiliate program can sign up to be put in touch with Homestay.com's highly experienced affiliate team at https://www.homestay.com/affiliates.
