I enjoy meeting people from all around the globe and sharing good times with them.
I'd be very happy if I could be of any help during / even before and after your stay.
So feel free to ask anything - getting around in Japan, learning Japanese, experiencing Japanese culture and what not. I offer cooking lessons for about 2000 yen to 3000 depending on what we cook and free Kimono/ Yukata experience for those who stay with us more than 6 nights.
With our guests, we enjoy talking, exchanging cultures and sometimes partying or eating out.
I hope all our guests know more about our culture and like our country even better.
During your stay, I prepare two meals ( full breakfast and dinner included ) every day and clean your rooms regularly.
Weight loss meal plans are available.
We have a separate bathroom only for our guests' use.
We have free unlimited WiFi throughout our house.
There are three supermarkets nearby, one within a one-minute-walk, another within five minutes and the other in about a seven minute walk.
One is 24/7 and the others are open from 9 am to 11 pm.
Our city is located in the west of central Tokyo with the train station which has one of the largest numbers of passengers in Japan.
It has a big shopping area where you can enjoy a different kinds of shops, restaurants and even a huge national park nearby.

Tomoka is an awesome host! She cooks dinner and breakfast for her guests at around 8pm and 8am, and it's a great chance to chat with her.
She's very kind, and very good at English, and was super helpful! She's quite direct and open too, which is good thing if you want to learn more about Japan! She's very happy to give recommendations of places to go and see too. We felt very relaxed at her place.
Most of all though she is just really nice and awesome person to get to know! We really enjoyed our stay and want to come back again.

I had an amazing stay for the homestay of Tomoko-san. Tomoko-san really cares about her guests, from the moment you enter the house she makes you feel home. She responded very quickly at my last minute request and was very helpful as I was sorting out my canceled flight back to US.
She speaks perfect English and communication was quite easy. She puts a lot of thoughts to the breakfast and dinner which are healthy and filling. I also had the chance to experience the New Years traditional dish which was amazing.
The room is comfortable and clean with heater/air conditioner. I had a good night sleep.
The location is great with lots of shops and cafes near Tachikawa which is about 12-15min walk, the closest train station is about 6m walk and takes to Shinjuku in about 25-30’min. I also had the chance to meet and interact with other guests which was a great experience, her cats are very cute and well behaved.I highly recommend the homestay to anyone and will be back next time I am in Tokyo area.

While staying in Tomoko's house, I had lots of opportunities to talk with her on a variety of topics. I learned a lot about traditions, customs as well as daily life in Japan and in exchange I have recounted and compared them to my own experiences, coming from my home country. Tomoko was ever eager to talk or help, suggesting places to see, things to do or even how to get some basic things done, like how to get to the City Hall.
While conversations with Tomoko were very enlightening, I have also had an opportunity to talk with her daughter and other guests, with some very interesting conversations coming out of it like discussion of linguistics and how the Japanese language compares to others. I think it is safe to say Tomoko attracts very interesting people to stay at her house.
One thing I was unsure about before coming here was living with so many cats but, especially after a longer stay, I seem to have come to like those animals. Quite friendly and very curious from what I can tell.
My stay with Tomoko was a very nice experience and I learned a lot during that time. Tomoko is a great host and with her willingness to help and English language ability, she may be especially suitable for people who may be unused to or even afraid of homestays or staying in a foreign country in general. It will be great to keep in touch with her even long after my stay here.

Well I’ve stayed at air B n B previously where I never knew the owner. Staying with Ms Tomoko’s family was an exceptional experience. They have a lovely spacious house. They are extremely hospitable polite , considerate. Ms Tomoko cooks really delicious food and I never felt away from home. Her husband is a busy medical practitioner but nevertheless spent time whenever possible for him. Her daughter is also polite and charming. I had to reduce my number of days at their place and really did not expect any refund. But Ms Tomoko is not after money. I must say that I made a long term friendship with this opportunity given to me by Homestay. Ms Tomoko speaks fluent English and sorted out my difficulties even after I checked out. Generally the Japanese are extremely courteous and helpful, but my short stay with Ms Tomoko’s family further enhanced my respect towards the Japanese. I am sure that this is their inherent nature and I’m overwhelmed with their politeness, kindness and empathy. Ms Tomoko remained in touch with me after I checked out to ensure that I had no difficulty. As a mater of fact on my way back from Hokkaido to kansai, I had almost missed my flight due to a rarest of rare mishap on the Shinkansen line. She was constantly trying to check the alternative routes for me for several hours before I finally caught my flight. Thank you Ms Tomoko and family for being so generous- friendly- hospitable and helpful.

Staying at Tomoko's was definitely the best experience I could have had by coming to Tokyo after such a chaotic covid period. She is an incredible, open-hearted and warm person. Being an international student and arriving to Tokyo was not the easiest thing to do but Tomoko has always been the best support and willing to help me in any situation (administration, laundry, picking me up after school and so on..). Also, she will do everything to make you feel at home and cook delicious, diverse and fine Japanese cuisine. The shared moment in the kitchen were full of joy and her 4 cats were a very adorable company. Tomoko helped me a lot with Japanese and knowing that she also speaks English she explained me a lot of nuances in the Japanese language. I also spent some time with her daughter Yumi who is a very cheerful person and near my age. Yumi also speaks a really good French.
The atmosphere in the house was very calm, the rooms comfortable and Tomoko's place is located super close to shops and stations as well (15 min approx to the nearest one) + there is a laundry and onsen just in front of the house (which was very convenient). To sum up, I sincerely think I could not had a better experience than the one I had at Tomoko's by coming to Tokyo as an exchange student. I hope to be able to stay again at her wonderful place! Thank you again so much!
