Tony was a kind-hearted, friendly, interesting and most helpful host. We enjoyed our 6 days at Tony's home which was in a most gentle and refreshing community far enough away from the busy traffic and noise of the city. The location was most convenient and accessible to local transportation as well as within satisfactory walking distance for our personal needs. we would, without hesitation, recommend Tony's Homestay, especially for those seeking to temporarily escape the hectic city life of Bangkok without being too from removed from it.

To stay with Tony was just the best opening bid for our first stay in Thailand. He gave on request valuable advice and suggestions and above all, he took us on a daytour to teach us how to handle the Bankokian transportquestion and to introduce us to Thai history and culture. We loved the brief chats we had on many topics and felt us truly at home in their house and their neighbourhood. If there will ever be installed a "Thomas Cook Award", he and Bor should be top of the first list of nominees. THANKS !!!

The best way to start this review is with the warmest of thank you's to Tony and Bor. I will be forever grateful to have picked your homestay for my first visit to Bangkok. What an amazingly friendly and helpful couple you are!
Tony has taken such an amazing amount of time to show me the ropes. He thought me important phrases in Thai so I can get around. He taught me how to handle the cab drivers, street merchants (good and bad ones), how to get around with public transportation and much much more. I did not expect this level of attention. Tony truly cared about making his guest's trips the most amazing one they could be.
What was truly outstanding is all the little tips about hidden gems around town. I visited museums, temples and markets that were close to devoid of any other tourists. Tony even went out of his way and spend close to a day with me on a sort of 'intro to Bangkok' day where we bought SIM cards and had local food. Very practical need.
Lastly, I need to mentioned the home itself. I could not have wished for a more ideal location. It was in the heart of a small suburb and thus, I could actually get a good feeling of how the Bangkok residents live. Food stalls, stores and restaurants in walking distance and still far away from the inner city. Perfect location. Plus, the neighbors were so friendly, waving and greeting as I walked by, with their kids playing feather ball or riding their bikes in the little alley. It was so enchanting.
Once I press submit review, I will probably think of 5 more things that I enjoyed about the stay. But I hope you pick Tony and Bor's for your stay in Bangkok as I whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone looking, especially if you are have to get a non-touristy type of vacation. They treated me as a friend rather than a guest and I will be back 100%.

Tony and Bor are incredible hosts. I stayed there for two nights. Tony picked me up at the airport. The next day we did a tour around Bangkok. He also took me to get my SIM card in a trusted place, which was most appreciated.
I only paid for his train ticket and a taxi ride back to the house ( I offered to pay for his lunch, which I encourage people to do, since he kindly offers this service for free -You will not find many hosts that are willing or able to take you on a tour the first day around the city-). Tony is always smiling and making jokes. He’s also patient and kind.
Also, as a female solo traveler I felt very comfortable and safe with him. Tony also helped me to understand Thai culture and gave me important tips for navigating the country.
Bor is super friendly and always smiling :)
I recommend this place if you wanna stay in a traditional middle class area and experience what is to live like a local.
Tony and Bor you are both in my heart. More than host you became my friends :)

What an awesome gem! The home was cozy and in a great location. Tony picked us up at the airport and gave a full day tour of some great spots in Bangkok. We only paid for the taxi and his train ticket which was less than the cost of a meal. We were provided with towels, linen, morning coffee, and as much bottled water as we needed. Tony was so much fun and was much more than just a host. He showed us how to use public transportation to get around, showed us some great places to eat and even escorted us to an amazing night market. We ventured off on our own and had some trouble....just a quick call to Tony and got us all straightened out! Anyone who stays with Tony and Bor will not be disappointed. If you want to see the REAL Bangkok this is the place to stay!
