Jean was a lovely host! Her place was neat, tidy, and in a great location. She's hospitable and easy to make conversation with, not to mention always willing to offer advice. When I came down with a sore throat and felt sick, she made me ginger tea and gave me medicine until I felt better. Jean puts the 'home' in homestay :)

Yoko and Aki were totally kind and helpful in all matters. Yoko responded super quick and Aki made food for us every time we asked. The room was really comfy and quiet and pretty much had our own bathroom. A very pleasent experience and maybe we will meet again!

I had a fantastic stay at Tomoko’s homestay! Tomoko is an incredibly friendly and accommodating host who goes above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need. She frequently shares fascinating insights about Japan and Japanese culture, making the experience even more enriching. If you’re learning Japanese, you’ll love her eagerness to help you practice and improve your language skills. And to top it all off, she is an outstanding cook! Every meal was a delight. I’m already looking forward to my next stay.

My first homestay was with Sachiko. None of my traveling experiences before compared to staying with Sachiko.

As an introvert I thought I would have a rough time adapting to a new country, but Sachiko helped me feel comfortable. Any time I had questions or trouble, Sachiko was willing to help. She is very kind, funny, and easy to talk to. On a few occasions, she took me and other guests to restaurants and even brought me to a camping trip on top of Mt. Akagi! I really did feel like family with Sachiko.

Out of all the hotels or inns I stayed at while traveling to other areas of Japan, Sachiko's house is 100% without a doubt the best experience I had. If you want to experience living in a suburban Japanese neighborhood and what living like a local is like, I wholeheartedly recommend staying with Sachiko.

Her house is conveniently located between two different nearby train stations which are easily accessible by bus if you don't feel like walking. There are also plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in walking distance. One advantage to staying at this part of Tokyo is that there are lots of unique scenic spots (Kawagoe, Tama Lake, Totoro's Forest) close by you may not consider exploring otherwise.

I earnestly suggest staying with Sachiko. You will not regret it. I hope to come back soon.

Seigo is a very nice guy!
I came to Japan together with my sister, and we were searching for a place that just felt right.
We found a place where I felt like home.
That place was at Seigos place!

The restaurants in his area were great as well! Very friendly people all around Seigos Homestay place!

The next time I'll come to Japan I will probably go to Seigos place again!

Kana is a very caring and friendly host. Although we were both not in good health condition during my stay, she helped me a lot. I really appreciate her assistance. The room is comfortable as well. Hope that I will come back one day with better health condition to talk to her more!

Eriko est adorable, elle m'a emmenée voir les feux d'artifices et m'a montré où était l'arrêt de bus, quel bus prendre, etc. Le dernier soir, nous avons cuisiné ensemble un shabu-shabu à sa façon, c'était délicieux ! Merci beaucoup ! <3

I enjoyed my stay with Jihye!! She was so nice!! You have your own room with good a/c and a clean bathroom, hair dryer!! It is in a nice residential place but only a 10-15min walk from the station and good to get your steps in!! I didnt stay at the place much, as I was out all day, but got along with Jihye!

I hope I have made a good friend for life. Seryna is amazing. She will go over and beyond to help you have the best possible experience. I felt very sad leaving my Tokyo 'home' and am so glad to be returning. My room was great and it is a perfect place to travel all over Tokyo to explore.

Kyoko is an awesome host. She is super nice, kind, welcoming and helpful. Got so many good memories with her. I could not dream about a better host. She was like my Japanese mom :) Hope we could meet again Kyoko <3

I had a fantastic time staying with Kumi-san! The house is very nice and conveniently located and the room was very spacious. Kumi-san is extremely helpful and was able to answer all my questions and also showed me around different areas of Tokyo. The meals provided were also delicious and allowed me to try lots of new Japanese dishes I had never eaten before. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone wanting to stay in Tokyo.

Kana-san is a great host! She is kind and is always willing to help and support you during your stay. The room is nice, and well equipped with AC and other amenities. Access to popular tourist spots is also very convenient, you can pretty much get to anywhere in Tokyo within an hour.

I really had a great time with Sakura family. I felt included and made a lot of memories with all of them. They are friendly and welcoming and the 2 kids are too cute!! I am very thankful for all of the very good times and very good meals we shared together. I 100% recommend Sakura family as a host!

Mon séjour chez Kana a été une expérience merveilleuse ! Dès mon arrivée, j'ai été chaleureusement accueilli et immédiatement senti comme chez moi. La chambre était spacieuse, propre, et bien équipée, avec tout ce dont j'avais besoin pour mon confort. La maison est située dans un quartier calme et agréable, à proximité des transports en commun, ce qui m'a facilité mes déplacements.
Les moments partagés ont été l'occasion de découvrir la culture japonaise et d'améliorer mon japonais dans un cadre convivial et détendu.

Elle as toujours été disponible pour m'aider avec mes questions, que ce soit sur les endroits à visiter, les démarches pour une reservation, ou simplement pour discuter. Son hospitalité et sa gentillesse ont véritablement enrichi mon séjour !
Je recommande vivement cette famille d'accueil au Japon .

Chi is a wonderful host and made me feel right at home. I really appreciated the breakfast she served and conversations we had. Staying with her was like catching up with a friend. Her interior decor is cute and somehow it's always Christmas at her place, even in the middle of summer (≧▽≦)

I can't begin to express how lucky I felt to have met the Fukudas and stay with them. They're a lovely family and so welcoming and easy to get along with. I'd never done a homestay before and it was always one of my goals to do a Tokyo homestay and it was an experience I'll never forget. I was also fortunate enough to have another roommate that I quickly became close with and I was able to spend time with everyone in the family on both an individual basis and everyone together--those were some of my favorite memories. I traveled to other cities and countries during my stay but I always looked forward to coming home and seeing everyone and being able to spend time together or make plans.

The house is in a quiet but convenient location, there are supermarkets and a convenience store within easy walking distance as well as one at the bigger station nearby. The neighborhood is also very peaceful. There's plenty of space and storage in the rooms and I spent a lot of time in the living room as well. It's quite easy to get to the busier parts of Tokyo or down to Yokohama, and if I wanted something a little slower paced, Tama river is also easily accessible. There are some gorgeous views of the river and bridge just by the nearby stations. Living here was very comfortable and I was on my own schedule quite often so I appreciated the freedom having my own house key.

Given the chance, I would love to stay again. Fukuda-san was very understanding and patient even though at times I struggled to express some thoughts in Japanese and I said a lot of things incorrectly but I got to learn and practice more than I would back at home. I loved chatting about all sorts of things together. Also I had always wanted sisters growing up and I was happy to have had the experience to enjoy my homestay with two younger sisters, Mi-chan being one of them. She is so kind, hilarious and such a bright person to be around. Both her and Fukuda-san were so helpful whenever I needed it and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'm looking forward to the next time we'll meet この夏は本当に楽しかった。帰って寂しいけど、また会おうと思うと嬉しくなります。お世話になりました。ホームステイさせていただきありがとうございました！o(*⌒―⌒*)o

Quel formidable séjour chez Jihye !
Accueil chaleureux, chambre confortable avec assez de rangements. La fenêtre de la chambre ouvre sur des cerisiers le long d'un canal dans un quartier très tranquille.
Jihye est très sociable et a toujours été attentive à ce que le séjour se passe le mieux possible. Ce fut un vrai plaisir d'échanger avec elle pendant les 4 semaines du séjour.
Je ne peux que la recommander !

Tomoyukiさん and Makiさん are wonderful hosts! It was an honour to meet and get to know them and one of their sons. The room I stayed in was clean and well-equipped, and it felt homely. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here if the chance arose!

Before coming here, my main worry was that the house is quite far from the city centre. While this is true, I didn’t find it an issue because the Tokyo metro is frequent, punctual and cheap. Moreover, the city where the house is located (Akishima) has a great local, laid-back feel, which I really appreciated in contrast to the craziness of central Tokyo!

A sociable and friendly person, always ready to give ideas for outings or food to try.
Different and varied meals that allow you to explore some of Japan's classics.
A room big enough and quiet enough to be left alone.
A first experience abroad for me, which makes me want to do it again.

I stayed at Reiko San's apartment for 3 months and would definitely recommend it to other travellers. Reiko is a warm, friendly and helpful person. Her flat is very large and in a great location with a charming shopping street and metro station nearby. The views from the rooftop are pretty special too. Thank you Reiko for making me feel very welcome in your home and for the many wonderful memories of my stay in Tokyo.

Nothing I could say could truly reflect my experience here. I was here for three months on an internship in Japan and came very shy and uncertain. It makes me emotional to think I left a very confident and strong person and I could not credit myself before giving it out to Keiko-san and Mi-chan. The best, most kind and caring hosts ever and they took care of me when I was always getting ill or not feeling great. They are what felt like family. I remember getting sushi with them just yesterday! The memories have literally stained my brain, and I hope I think about them every day because they were just that welcoming and lovely.

The area is quiet and lovely and super convenient for groceries and trains, and the house is so cosy and has everything you could possibly need. There are a few restaurants nearby too, or you can be lazy and order food in > - <

I also came with very little Japanese. Like, you can tell I learnt from anime kind of Japanese lol. But they taught me so much, including hiragana, just by speaking to me...definitely already missing the language.

Even for just a short trip, Seigo was very accommodating and friendly. He showed his favorite local places to eat, and even on two occasions called a place that wouldn’t have spoken English to help me out. Unbelievably chill stay, and I wish I would’ve scheduled with him for longer. He’ll certainly be the first listing I look for if/when I return to Japan!

I had a great time at Seigo's! He is very friendly and offers help if you need anything like local recommendations or ordering on Amazon. Seigo's house is modern and he keeps his apartment very clean at all times. I'm glad I chose Seigo as my host and cannot wait to meet him again.
