Graham and Naomi's family welcomed me with remarkable kindness! From the moment I arrived, they made me feel right at home. Their hospitality and generosity were extraordinary: not only did they give me a warm welcome, but they also accompanied me wherever I needed to go.

Their spacious and charming house is a real haven of peace. I couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. I would highly recommend their home to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable environment. Many thanks to Graham and Naomi for making my stay so enjoyable!

I lived with Shirley and her family for eight months. It was a very good experience and I felt very comfortable and welcome during my stay. The house is always clean and my room was very cosy. The location is also very convenient, as you can get to the city centre and shops quickly by bus. I can highly recommend Shirl's homestay.

Shirl and her family are amazing hosts, they make you feel very welcomed in thier home. Very helpful with advice on getting to know the area and things to do. Clean and well looked after house, and very pleasant place to stay. Really enjoyed my time at the house.

frankly I was well received and I had a good stay with this nice family. Only I would like to apologize to this good family when I jammed the key while handling the lock without paying attention.

My trip was a 6 nights day. My purpose of the trip was a 4 day seminar. From the airport busstation you can take bus X1 to Kings Rd. From there you have max 10min walk to your stay. Also X1 goes straight to the city center. Very simple! The neighbourhood is quiet and calm with a park very near. Nazeha is a very warm and loving person and host. Nomatter how her day has been she is taking time to check if you are allright or have any questions. Despite I would arrive very late, even after 24:00 she made sure that I could get inside. If you have groceries there will be room for that in the fridge. Nazeha offered me some homemade warm snacks one evening i came back, it was delicios and perfect! I am very gratefull for my experience at her house. Just let your self feel like home and relax in safe and authentic surroundings. Thank you for the stay!

Staying with Joan was a very comfortable experience. Having a private room in a lovely home with a big garden and a very well equipped kitchen serve me as a great home for three and a half months! Joan was an exceptionally kind host, would always come back again!

Laurraine was a fantastic host and very welcoming. The room I had was exactly what I needed. Her house is in a great location with easy walking distance to the nearest shops, buses and trains. It is in a nice area and the neighbours are friendly. I would be more than happy to stay there again.

My stay in Birmingham turned into an unforgettable life experience full of emotions that Sherl and Angie with their family and all the guests of their home shared with me and helped to make unique. A comfortable and ideal accommodation to reach all the most beautiful areas of central Birmingham, clean and cared for, exceptional hospitality that is not limited to pure professionalism, but goes far beyond! Friendly, kind and helpful, they really made me feel at home! I highly recommend this family, do not be intimidated by the shared bathroom, there are not many rooms and the cleaning service is punctual and precise, sharing the spaces will be a way to make friends and meet new interesting people.

This is a review from someone who stayed at Shirl's home for 6 months for university studies abroad. As such, it has somewhat turned into my second home, which is largely due to Shirl and her family. Not only because I was received so warmly upon arrival, but also because they eased the process of settling down in an unknown city and to new life circumstances greatly and made it appear seamless. The house, in general, is kept in a well-cleaned condition, with virtually all necessary household goods (such as toilet paper, cutlery & crockery, cleaning facilities & materials, bedlinen, towels, wardrobe, drawers, desk) provided. As Shirl has been hosting guests for over 10 years, she has developed an expertise and is experienced in welcoming and accommodating all sorts of guests and catering to their needs, which I got to observe over my 6 months at their home. Both security and privacy are highly valued at Shirl's home, but at the same time they were always available for a chat in the kitchen or an evening in the living room watching TV or reviewing the day, even during more turbulent times at university or work. Finally, as I travelled throughout the UK during my stay, the location of Shirl's home facilitated these activities, as the city centre can be reached within 15-20 minutes by frequent bus services not far from the doorstep. As such, especially for longer stays, I judge Shirl's homestay to offer some of the best value for money and know where I will be staying, should I return to Birmingham in the future.
