Meghan was a thoughtful and caring host, sharing her quiet and cozy apartment so I had a place to relax after attending a conference and exploring Cambridge on foot.

We had a fantastic stay at Steve and Terry’s home in Winthrop while visiting Boston for the marathon. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel incredibly welcome, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Their home was clean, cozy, and perfectly located—close enough to Boston for convenience but in a peaceful, scenic area.

Steve and Terry went above and beyond as hosts, offering great conversation, local tips, and genuine hospitality. They were especially supportive of Justyna’s participation in the marathon, which meant a lot to us. We truly appreciated their kindness and the homey environment they provided.

If you’re looking for a wonderful place to stay with thoughtful and friendly hosts, we highly recommend Steve and Terry’s home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

My stay at Terry’s and Steve’s was a dream! The room is lovely, the bed like sleeping on a cloud. Not to mention the warnest ever welcome and the cozy atmosphere they created, I couldn’t have wished a better Boston stay!

I will never forget Terry and Steve, they were the best hosts I have ever had in my life. I stayed for three months and I can't still believe I met such wonderful people thanks to Homestay.

Immediately from the beginning they were soooo helpful, very kind and welcoming, they do anything to make your stay very comfortable. 'Mi casa es su casa' is their motto, you can just use their wonderful and very clean house like it is yours. Even during the weekends, I loved to stay at home to watch tv, play cards with everyone, have dinner and drinks together. By the way, the location is perfect: across the street you can take the bus to the train, it is very easy to get to Boston city. In Christmas holidays my partner was also very welcome to visit me!

In sum, their place is the place to be in Boston area. I was very lucky to have them as my hosts, and I was very happy to have a wonderful roommate, I will never forget Pppppp.

I am sure we will meet very soon again, thank you for everything!

Such a pleasant first experience in the US at Terry and Steve’s. They welcomed us to their home with opens arm and we really felt like home. The area was really nice and safe. Would definitely go back if ever in Boston

Steve And Terry are very kind and welcoming. They always answered my questions and made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. Their house is very well located. Indeed the city is very safe and the bus stop to reach boston is just in front of the house. It's quick and easy to get to downtown Boston from their house. Many thanks to them for their warm welcome!

Meghan has been absolutely wonderful. She was very responsive and accommodating and always made sure that I’d be okay, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Will definitely come back and can highly recommend staying with her!

It was a very nice place to stay with Steve and S. The room is big and clean, the bed is wonderfully comfortable. I had great conversations with them both and the homemade borscht was super delicious. If I'm ever near Boston again, I'll be happy to stay here again, as they are not just hosts but also friends.

Lisa and her family were very kind and welcoming. The European Tour room is very private and has beautiful views. Lisa is very accommodating to your needs, and truly helps to make you feel part of the family. The home is very close to the Blue line which is very convenient for travel, and walking distance to the beach. As my first homestay, I was very nervous but Lisa has made it a wonderful experience.
Their cat is also very lovely! Thank you Lisa and family, for the memories!!

The place was clean and convenient. The single room I booked was spacious. There is also a lot of street parking. Lynda rents several other rooms in the property but I always easily had access to the bathroom. During my stay, there was a guest staying in the common area, which was a bit surprising but Lynda provided an option to have access to another kitchen, which I appreciated. Overall, good value for money.

It was so lovely staying with Steve and Terry. Terry is so friendly and welcoming, I felt right at home in her house (which is beautiful by the way, and right next to the beach!). I had a wonderful time chatting with Terry about her experiences hosting. You can tell she loves doing it and meeting new people from all around the world (I myself befriended a lovely French couple!) The rooms are reasonably priced too. If I'm around Boston again, I will definitely remember my stay here. Thanks again Steve and Terry!

They are extraordinary people, who welcome you like their own family. I don't have enough words to say how much we have become attached to them in just three days. I hope we see them again one day !

Moo was so kind and friendly, but also gave me plenty of space to do my own thing. Her dog Dora is adorable. Having a floor to myself, with my own bathroom, was lovely. Clean home but still lots of personality :) Would stay here again! Thanks Moo.

The light and airy clapboard house was a home from home. Its location, right by the subway station, was ideal for travelling to and from the centre of Boston. My lovely dual-aspect bedroom had a spotless bathroom across the landing with a walk-in shower. Moo couldn't have been kinder, more helpful and lovely.

We stayed for a week. We made a family in a short time. Terry is a wonderful person. I can't say anything about the house because the bed, cleanliness and transportation are great. We liked it very much, we recommend it. Also, Lisa and Paula, with whom we shared the house together, were excellent.

A Wonderfull place to go, people are so kind and welcoming. I really really recommend to stay here I feel very safe during my vacations ! Moreover it's close to everything ! A very lovely place to go !

I lived at Lisa's house for a year and six months. The neighborhood is safe, and the train station "the Blue Line" is only three minutes away by foot. There are several small markets nearby + target, Dollar Tree. It's very convenient. Lisa is reachable, and any problem with the house is quickly resolved.
The house is modern and new. It's a nice place to stay. The beach is only two stops away by train. I stayed in the Sweet Dreams room it's cozy and the walk-in closet was large enough to hold all of my belongings. Lisa and her family are friendly and easygoing people. You can always reach out to them for help.

The Steve‘s is a home away from home. I enjoyed the hospitality from them as well as the respect when I preferred to keep to my own. The backyard is beautiful and the room is spacious with all amenities provided. I even had the chances to learn to cook on my own and of course, tasted a lot of tasty food from S. and enjoyed the violin/piano sessions from V.

As I have been studying at Harvard and MIT. The house is literally 2 buses away (1 hour 10 minutes) from Harvard Yard ( Bus No. 52 then Bus No. 71 via Watertown) on weekdays. On weekend, you can hop on the Bus No. 36 then Orange Metro Line via Forest Hills ( hub) to Downtown or the campus. Just a reminder, the Metro system in Boston and Bus No. 36 is running till 1 AM at midnights, which allows you to explore the city at your free will.

Definitely will come back for stay when I’m in Boston next time.

Moo is a very considerate and caring host with a lovely house in an attractive neighborhood, great lodgings and quick access to the metro. Looking forward to staying there again.

We loved staying with Steve! Our three nights in Roxbury truly felt like a home away from home. The room was quiet and spacious. The bed was clean and comfortable---and quite honestly one of the best that we've slept in after touring the contiguous U.S! Our favorite part about staying with Steve was the convivial atmosphere he created when inviting us into his home. We shared a meal, and discussion and truly felt at rest among a new friend. I would recommend anyone to stay here who wanted to create a new chapter in their book for a lifelong memory. Thank you Steve, Egészségére!

The house and my room was beautiful. Terry was super nice, she even collected me from the airport. Just opposite from the house is a bus stop that will bring you to the metro that's going to Boston city centre. I would recommend staying here! ;)

We had a great time at Steve's house! A wonderful quiet place, a huge beautiful house with a garden, a wonderful cozy room with a fireplace! Birds sing in the garden and squirrels play. Steve and his family are very attentive, friendly, intelligent, hospitable people, Steve is always ready to help and give advice. The house has a large kitchen in which it is pleasant to cook, a bathroom, a living room where you can relax in the evening. Nearby are shops, a confectionery, a hairdresser, a post office, a bus stop, etc.
This is a great place, I recommend everyone to stay at Steve's, thank you!

Moo was an excellent host! She made us feel welcome in her home and provided a beautiful space for us. She was accommodating when our move-out dates changed and was super helpful in sharing local recommendations. I would absolutely recommend staying at Moo's place.

My boyfriend Adrian and I were beyond impressed with our stay. The place is breathtaking. We got off the bus and followed the GPS to the address and was struck with awe. It felt unreal we were staying there - it felt like I'd walked into a better homes and gardens magazine. Terry was so welcoming, accommodating, and kind. She even recommended the room with the private patio to us. We had a view of the neighborhood and water in the distance. The patio was a wonderful spot to start and finish our day. Room was cozy and well equipped with storage space and towels. The bed was super comfy. One could fall asleep almost instantly. The bathroom and the rest of the house was immaculate and tastefully decorated.

Bus stop was out front which made travel by public transportation easy. Shops and restaurants were within walking distance.

We give Terry five hearts. We would definitely stay here again given the opportunity. We loved our stay, you'll love your stay too.
