The place was clean and convenient. The single room I booked was spacious. There is also a lot of street parking. Lynda rents several other rooms in the property but I always easily had access to the bathroom. During my stay, there was a guest staying in the common area, which was a bit surprising but Lynda provided an option to have access to another kitchen, which I appreciated. Overall, good value for money.

It was so lovely staying with Steve and Terry. Terry is so friendly and welcoming, I felt right at home in her house (which is beautiful by the way, and right next to the beach!). I had a wonderful time chatting with Terry about her experiences hosting. You can tell she loves doing it and meeting new people from all around the world (I myself befriended a lovely French couple!) The rooms are reasonably priced too. If I'm around Boston again, I will definitely remember my stay here. Thanks again Steve and Terry!

They are extraordinary people, who welcome you like their own family. I don't have enough words to say how much we have become attached to them in just three days. I hope we see them again one day !

Moo was so kind and friendly, but also gave me plenty of space to do my own thing. Her dog Dora is adorable. Having a floor to myself, with my own bathroom, was lovely. Clean home but still lots of personality :) Would stay here again! Thanks Moo.

The light and airy clapboard house was a home from home. Its location, right by the subway station, was ideal for travelling to and from the centre of Boston. My lovely dual-aspect bedroom had a spotless bathroom across the landing with a walk-in shower. Moo couldn't have been kinder, more helpful and lovely.

We stayed for a week. We made a family in a short time. Terry is a wonderful person. I can't say anything about the house because the bed, cleanliness and transportation are great. We liked it very much, we recommend it. Also, Lisa and Paula, with whom we shared the house together, were excellent.

A Wonderfull place to go, people are so kind and welcoming. I really really recommend to stay here I feel very safe during my vacations ! Moreover it's close to everything ! A very lovely place to go !

I lived at Lisa's house for a year and six months. The neighborhood is safe, and the train station "the Blue Line" is only three minutes away by foot. There are several small markets nearby + target, Dollar Tree. It's very convenient. Lisa is reachable, and any problem with the house is quickly resolved.
The house is modern and new. It's a nice place to stay. The beach is only two stops away by train. I stayed in the Sweet Dreams room it's cozy and the walk-in closet was large enough to hold all of my belongings. Lisa and her family are friendly and easygoing people. You can always reach out to them for help.

The Steve‘s is a home away from home. I enjoyed the hospitality from them as well as the respect when I preferred to keep to my own. The backyard is beautiful and the room is spacious with all amenities provided. I even had the chances to learn to cook on my own and of course, tasted a lot of tasty food from S. and enjoyed the violin/piano sessions from V.

As I have been studying at Harvard and MIT. The house is literally 2 buses away (1 hour 10 minutes) from Harvard Yard ( Bus No. 52 then Bus No. 71 via Watertown) on weekdays. On weekend, you can hop on the Bus No. 36 then Orange Metro Line via Forest Hills ( hub) to Downtown or the campus. Just a reminder, the Metro system in Boston and Bus No. 36 is running till 1 AM at midnights, which allows you to explore the city at your free will.

Definitely will come back for stay when I’m in Boston next time.

Moo is a very considerate and caring host with a lovely house in an attractive neighborhood, great lodgings and quick access to the metro. Looking forward to staying there again.

We loved staying with Steve! Our three nights in Roxbury truly felt like a home away from home. The room was quiet and spacious. The bed was clean and comfortable---and quite honestly one of the best that we've slept in after touring the contiguous U.S! Our favorite part about staying with Steve was the convivial atmosphere he created when inviting us into his home. We shared a meal, and discussion and truly felt at rest among a new friend. I would recommend anyone to stay here who wanted to create a new chapter in their book for a lifelong memory. Thank you Steve, Egészségére!

The house and my room was beautiful. Terry was super nice, she even collected me from the airport. Just opposite from the house is a bus stop that will bring you to the metro that's going to Boston city centre. I would recommend staying here! ;)

We had a great time at Steve's house! A wonderful quiet place, a huge beautiful house with a garden, a wonderful cozy room with a fireplace! Birds sing in the garden and squirrels play. Steve and his family are very attentive, friendly, intelligent, hospitable people, Steve is always ready to help and give advice. The house has a large kitchen in which it is pleasant to cook, a bathroom, a living room where you can relax in the evening. Nearby are shops, a confectionery, a hairdresser, a post office, a bus stop, etc.
This is a great place, I recommend everyone to stay at Steve's, thank you!

Moo was an excellent host! She made us feel welcome in her home and provided a beautiful space for us. She was accommodating when our move-out dates changed and was super helpful in sharing local recommendations. I would absolutely recommend staying at Moo's place.

My boyfriend Adrian and I were beyond impressed with our stay. The place is breathtaking. We got off the bus and followed the GPS to the address and was struck with awe. It felt unreal we were staying there - it felt like I'd walked into a better homes and gardens magazine. Terry was so welcoming, accommodating, and kind. She even recommended the room with the private patio to us. We had a view of the neighborhood and water in the distance. The patio was a wonderful spot to start and finish our day. Room was cozy and well equipped with storage space and towels. The bed was super comfy. One could fall asleep almost instantly. The bathroom and the rest of the house was immaculate and tastefully decorated.

Bus stop was out front which made travel by public transportation easy. Shops and restaurants were within walking distance.

We give Terry five hearts. We would definitely stay here again given the opportunity. We loved our stay, you'll love your stay too.

Terry was an absolutely amazing host. We had such a great time and it was everything we could have asked for. Terry is such a kind person and made us feel so welcome. The house and our room was beautiful, clean and it has an amazing view from the balcony. The location is great, there's a bus stop just outside the house and it takes around 30 minutes to downtown Boston. Overall, what a great experience. Thank you Steve and Terry. You are wonderful people!

Steve is friendly and laid back. Available if you need him and not under foot if you want to be left alone. He’s been incredibly flexible as we wait for closing on our new home and allowed me to do my artwork on his back patio. He’s a really friendly and fun person! Use of the kitchen is great. We have made our first new friend in the area!

What a fabulous experience. The location - beautiful walks, but close enough to Boston to see the sights and the bus stop right outside the house so you are connected to anywhere. Terry and Steve have a beautiful home, my room, the bathroom, washing facilities etc were perfect. It was the first time I have tried Homestay and Terry, Steve and their family went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. They are kind, generous, helpful, lots of fun and included me as one of the family. I couldn’t have asked for more. I was so lucky to meet them and I know Terry and I will remain firm friends. I absolutely loved my stay.

I was entirely humbled by Terry and Steve's generosity and kindness during my time in Boston. Running the 125th marathon was my goal but their hospitality made the experience all the better. I can't express how much it meant that they opened their home to me and made me feel so welcome and comfortable. I really just needed a bed for a few nights, but they treated me like family, and were as excited and supportive of my race experience as I was.

Thanks to you both for welcoming me to your beautiful home, the meals, local advice, generosity, laughs, and great conversation! It was a pleasure meeting you and your family, and I hope we have a chance to visit again one day!

Absolutely wonderful stay at Lisa's place!

I felt right at home with excellent hospitality while staying Boston, MA for a summer internship. Lisa was so kind and considerate, and the house was clean, affordable, and came equipped with all of the amenities needed for short or long stays.

I enjoyed getting to know Lisa's family and other guests, while still enjoying the privacy of my own space.

I was able to drive my car across country and accommodations were made for me to park for the duration of my stay. This allowed me to take weekend trips up the coast to Maine and down to Rhode Island. As far as those that are flying in, Logan is very close and super easy to navigate upon arrival. This Homestay is a few stops off the Blue Line T and from the airport--no hassle there.

The location was also wonderful! Just outside of the hustle and bustle of Boston proper, this home is nestled in a nice town--safe, close to the beach, and perfect for evening runs. It is very close to the T station and two delicious quick bites: an Italian bakery and Columbia restaurant.

Stay here and enjoy a great stay, long or short--you will be made to feel at home. :)

Lisa is one of the kindest, thoughtful, and most considerate hosts I have ever met. Her initiatives to explain the nearby shops and the transportation system help me to be acclimatized with the living situation in the Boston area quickly. She always makes sure that the guests are well-rested by checking on us regularly. The interior of the room is gorgeous: it is exactly as pictured. It's my first time coming to Boston, and sometimes I have a few misunderstandings on how things work, but Lisa and her family have been respectful, polite, and courteous: I'm really grateful that I chose to stay at their house.

I lived at Lisa's home for three months. Everything's wonderful - clean and spacious room, convenient public transportation (2 min walk to Beachmont T station) and lovely cats! I have been warmed by Lisa and her family's hospitality during my stay. No complaints at all!

I enjoyed staying at Selim's house. The bedroom is very clean and wide. If you stay in the Sunflower or Lilac room, you will have your own bathroom but will share only the shower. If you stay in the Lotus room, you will have your own full bathroom (luxury room). You can have a light breakfast in the morning. The house is only 9 minutes walk to either Jackson Sq station (orange line) or Heath Street Station (Green line). I highly recommend this place to anybody! Downtown is only 25 mins.

Terry is a warm and welcoming host. She kept in contact with us before we arrived and helped us plan our all to brief stay in Boston. Her home is lovely and toastie, beautifully furnished and well located for easy public transport into downtown Boston. Thank you for sharing your home with us and we would heartily recommend Terry and Steve.
