Come and stay at a quiet friendly house, a short walk from the beach and a short bus trip to the heart of Edinburgh City Centre. I live alone in the 3 bedroom property that boasts a large living room and kitchen where you can help yourself to the tea & coffee facilities & enjoy a light breakfast in the morning. You can choose to enjoy breakfast inside in the dining area or outside on the patio seating area if the weather is nice. The kitchen extends into a living area were you can choose to relax, enjoy and watch television if you choose. I work in the mornings so you will have free reign of the property early on to eat, shower and relax before starting your day. The bedroom overlooks the secluded garden in a quiet and safe residential area within Edinburgh.

About the Area
Restalrig is a suburb of Edinburgh, Scotland (historically, an estate and independent parish). It is located east of the city centre, west of Craigentinny, and to the east of Lochend, with which it overlaps. Restalrig Road is the main route through the area, running from London Road, to Leith Links. Portobello and It's beach are close by and well worth a visit (Portobello is a coastal suburb of Edinburgh once famed as a beach resort located three miles to the east of the city centre, facing the Firth of Forth). The vibrant area of Leith and the shore are also a short distance from the property (The district of Leith rests on the shores of the Firth of Forth, at the mouth of the Water of Leith. Having served as the port of Edinburgh for hundreds of years, the area’s original harbour dates back to the 14th century and has been visited by many travelling kings and queens, including Mary Queen of Scots and King George IV. Today, Leith is a vivacious area jam-packed with delicious delis, chic drinking spots, and top restaurants boasting some of Scotland’s finest chefs. The district asserts a jovial attitude and hosts an eclectic mix of people and cultures, making each a visit a unique experience)

A friend and I stayed for 6 and 7 nights in Angie's lovely bungalow. It was peaceful, quite, clean with the added bonus of learning more about Angie. We could treat ourselves to breakfast and use whatever we found. Once we figured out the buses into the centre (going and coming) we could get in in about 1/2 hour or less depending on when we reached the bus stop. We went the first week of the Fringe this year and it was great to get out of the city after a long day. We were able to use the living room and for the price, all of this cannot be beaten. If we can, we'll definitely go back. Thanks Angie!

Angie was so welcoming and made me feel at home right away. The room was very comfortable and peaceful - perfect for a good night's sleep. Would definitely stay again. Bus stop for CBD is about 7mins walk.

We stayed one week at Angie's and this is the right place to be in Edinburgh : a real peace haven !
Not only her house is very peaceful, comfortable and clean but Angie is very welcoming and extraordinary.
She made us feel so at ease that we can only recommend staying there, which is moreover a couple of bus stops away from the city center and not far from Portobello.March 2016
Been there for easter. Angie is amazingly friendly and I must admit she has a beautiful home. Not to mention her amazing hospitality. Single bus from city center connect s her home in 10 mins. I recommend to all who are looking for a short trips and nice experience.

The room was really nice and clean. The house is only a couple of bus stops away from the city center.
