Having been a Host family for over 15 years in Edinburgh and having recently moved to Oban I am looking forward to the liveliness of Hosting again to make our house feel like a home. My son moved away some years ago to go to University and latterly to go travelling and to be truthful we're missing the great interaction we all had together. We have a lot to give in terms of laughter, fun, experiencing all the local places of interest- beaches, walks, cycling, music, good cooking & bar-b-ques!
The house itself is placed in Central Oban within walking distance to all amenities and restaurants. It has 4 bedrooms, lounge, large kitchen/diner,office, bathroom/ shower room, WIFI, SONOS, music system, Netflix. Patio doors out to a large, beautiful garden. The house is bright and modern with all mod cons!! We have just got a new puppy and she’s lots of fun and very sociable. The house in an non smoking house.

About the Area
Our house is located close to Oban Town Centre (6 minute walk from the house) to all nightlife, restaurants and cafes, supermarkets, post office, train station, ferry terminal, bus depot. It is also within easy access to board the ferries to the Western Isles such as Mull, Iona, Barra etc. It is a short walk or cycle to some interesting landmarks, castles and monuments and is close to the beach at Ganavan Sands and the Horse Stables is only 5 minutes away. We have 2 cars to get about to some lovely walks, gardens and Dunstafnage Castle and the Marine Centre. There is also a swimming pool and sports centre (Gym) close-by.

House Rules
- Please keep our house secure when entering and leaving . House is secured by CCTV.
- Please do not adjust the heating settings, just ask and it will be done to suit you.
- Keep the house/ bedroom/ kitchen clean and tidy and please respect our belongings.
- Keep noise to a minimum after 11 pm.
- Please do not invite strangers in to our home; if you would like to invite a friend over just agree it with us in advance so that I can meet them first.
- Shoes off at the door entrance. Slippers provided if needed.
- Please enjoy your stay and treat our house as you would your own home.
- Be aware of fire and and the risk of injury in the home by being careful. (all floors in house are fitted with smoke alarms).

Karen and Graeme sind die besten Gastgeber die ich jemals hatte. Es war eine wunderbare Woche in Oban, die ich nicht vergessen werde. Das Haus und der Garten sind ein Traum und die beiden sind sehr zuvorkommend und sehr gastfreundlich und zeigen einem viel. Danke Karen und danke Graeme

Had a fantastic time here. Karen couldn't do enough for us.. I would certainly recommend staying here. Fantastic accommodation and the views overlooking the golf course were just stunning!!!. I'll certainly be back!!!!!!!!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
