About the Homestay
*The Rental includes lodging ONLY but is equipped for semi-self catering in that the room has a microwave for warming up meals and kettle to prepare any hot beverages you prefer . The guest room is not inside the main house but on the premises with en - suite in order to ensure you have your own privacy when required . Married for 17 years, Andre and I have three beautiful children , Liam(18yrs) , Nicholai(15yrs) and Saskia (13yrs) . We also have three adopted "furbies" because we love animals. We're very involved in the empowerment of youth and as such do quite a bit of volunteering work even though we both work full time . Family time with the kids either after work or over the weekend and holidays is quite important to us and we enjoy taking a walk on the beach with the dogs ( 10 min away ) , hiking trails , cycling or a swimming in the pool during summer. Playing charades or board games and laughing until our sides hurt , in front of the fire happens frequently in winter and you are most welcome to join the fun. I love cooking and my hobby is baking 3D cakes well into the early hours of the morning . We are a family that enjoys spending time with extended family and friends as well doing things we enjoy together . We would love to host people with the same interests . We look forward to welcoming you to our country .

About the Area
Our house is in a safe neighbourhood situated 2min walk away from the local bus stop and a few shopping centres . We are a 10 min walk away from the beach and a 2min walk away the public library and from some lovely recreational parks that our kids enjoy visiting. The airport is a 15 min drive away as well as the local hospital and of course the biggest mall in south Africa , Canal walk . We also have a fabulous and safe cycle route all the way to the CBD.

Due to past last minute cancellations, I have no choice but to ask for a holding deposit once you have paid Homestay your booking confirmation. Some students book and they cancel last minute where I could have offered the room to someone else. Banking details will be provided once we made contact.
Smoking is allowed outdoors only.
Realy feeling at home . Mosque,Church,restaurants,shops,Transposition all walk distance. Thanks for all and grand mother was treat me as son. Hope I have time to come again.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
