I had such a wonderful 3-month stay with Georg and Tew! On my first day in town, Georg helped me with grocery shopping, getting me acquainted with the Sea Point area, and recommending places to visit and explore. They even took me out for a nice birthday lunch during the first week of my stay.
I enjoyed my conversations with Georg and his son during loadshedding and talking to the parrot Duke during my free time. The home is cosy and clean and Tew made sure that my room was always kept fresh and comfortable. The pool is also lovely to cool off in summer and I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. I will definitely stay again when I return to Cape Town.Host reply

I spent one night with George, then did a 1000km road bike tour and again spent a few days with George. He always tried to make my stay pleasant, everything was very uncomplicated and I learned a lot about living and working in South Africa during and after apartheid. George texted me several times during the tour to ask if everything was ok or if I needed anything. Really a perfect home base for round trips!
The location of the house is in a very safe area, even in the dark it is not a problem to walk the 10-15 minutes to the sea and its shops and restaurants. And Uber works very well and cheaply everywhere.
Really a highly recommended homestay, many thanks George!

Georg and Tew are kind people! They made me feel at home, even in difficult moments during the lockdown.
The house is big and cosy. The bird makes everything even more unique. I hope he still says “Hello” like me!
I miss playing Backgammon with Georg and my morning walks with Tew. I can’t wait to go back to South Africa and give Georg a good cachaça!November 2019

Thank you very much to Georg and Ti Yu who are two lovely and incredible people.
They both are devoted to their guest and they always go out of their ways to please them. I really felt at home and they treated me like a member of the family which I very appreciated. I was very sad to say good bye but I’m looking forward to seeing them again as soon as possible .As for the house, it is very well situated in a awe-inspiring area. The balcony is over looking the sea and you can see the lion’s head from the garden in which you’ll find a swimming pool . There is an airy kitchen with a spacious living room with your own private TV with such a lovely parrot.You ‘ll find a supermarket down the road and a bus stop nearby. Honestly I was blown away ! Everything is within your reach .
To conclude I’ll definitely recommend anyone who wishes to have an incredible stay in Cape Town to stay with Georg and Ti Yu. I’m putting 5 stars and if I could give 10, believe me I would.

I had a fantastic and amazing time by George, Excellent host, beautiful comfortable house in one of the best areas in Cape Town, very accommodating and a very experienced person to speak to. Highly recommended.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries).
