Hi my name is Rachel Kim, I am 36 years old. I live with my brother who is 33 years old. He is a Japanese cook, so he stays in restaurant for so many hours every day and you guys can barely see him at home. We both like home party and go to fun party places in Gangnam and Itaewon area whenever time allows!
If you like to experience Korean culture, I have many places to show you around :-)
My job is an English interpreter so I am fluent in English and a bit of Chinese. But my Chinese is really bad. Since I have many experiences to guide foreigners in Seoul area, if you come and stay in my apartment, I also can show you around some good places in Seoul or other cities if time allows! But as I told you earlier, my job is very changeable depending on my work schedules. I only can hang out or offer you to go out when my work is not so busy. Please understand this. :)

About the Area
My house is located in residencial area near Jamsil station. Airport bustop is only a minute away from my apartment complex. very safe and clean area. Since my apartment was newly developed a few years ago, everything is very convenient and clean!
Just across the road, there is a conventional market. Goods are very cheap and you can also experience real Korean Market. There is a huge shopping complex within 10minutes walk. It is called Lotte world mall. This shopping centre opened recently. Next to the mall, there is a lake park, you can go for jogging and exercise.

It's not a homestay, the space rented by Rachel is a separate aparthotel kind of thing in Gangnam. The space is great and great for travelers, and Rachel's communication is good, but if you're hoping for a homestay where you stay with the family, this isn't it. :(

If I could, I would love to give more than 5 hearts as a rating! I had the most amazing two week stay with Rachel and Colin. My stay in Korea would not have been the same without them! They are both so warm, wonderful, and so much fun! I felt at home. Rachel, thank you so much for taking the time to show me around Seoul and for the amazing nights out. I have such amazing memories.

I am glad to have chosen Rachel’s family as the host! This is my first time to visit Korea and I can feel I am welcomed. We had meal together and I have learnt a lot about Korean culture and language (indeed she is more willing to share with you, and her English is excellent) .

Rachel’s house was very comfortbale and lovely to stay in! Although she wasn’t there during our stay, Rachel’s brother Collin was there to look after us instead which was great! At the end of our trip, even after we had left the Homestay, we met up with Rachel and she took us out on a day trip wich was amazing! Highly reccomend staying with Rachel!

The apartment is located in a nice area, well connected by metro and bus. It really is a perfect place to explore the city.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
