I started hosting homestays in 2013 and have proudly risen to become one of the top hosts at Korea's largest homestay matching company, a status reflected in the photo. Out of 9,650 Korean homestays, I'm thrilled to hold the position as one of the six recipients of an esteemed A+ rating, maintaining my standing as a best host in 2024.
I'm eager to meet new friends from around the world through this platform. My family includes a kind husband, a son born in 2010, and a daughter born in 2013. While my English isn't fluent, my experiences living in the Philippines and Australia allow me to empathize with tourists and foreign students.
My apartment boasts four rooms and two bathrooms. I offer 1-3 rooms and 1 bathroom to foreign guests. Each room includes a spacious window, comfortable bed, fresh linens, ample closet space, a desk, and a chair. As a Korean language teacher, I can assist those interested in learning Korean.
All guests are welcome in my home, but I have a preference for the following:
* Regular users of Seoul Metro's line 3
* Students from Yonsei University or Ewha Womans University
* Teenagers
* Those interested in enjoying Korean meals regularly
* Travelers exploring Seoul who prioritize convenient public transport, safety, and tranquility
* Families and individuals who adore children
Sometimes in the mornings, I take guests to nearby tourist spots, historical sites, or museums. It's free, so I'd appreciate it if you could spare some time at least once. I usually share stories about the Joseon Dynasty and modern history with guests while visiting landmarks. However, I can adjust the travel itinerary to suit your interests
When making a reservation inquiry, it would be great if you could show your picture if possible.
Thank you immensely for your consideration, and I eagerly await the opportunity to host you soon!
Wishing you a fantastic trip!

About the Area
My house is situated in the tranquil western part of central Seoul, offering a serene and safe environment. During the summer, the air is clear and cool, surrounded by lush forests where you can enjoy the delightful songs of birds throughout the day.
Located just a 50-minute drive from the airport, my house is conveniently accessible. The nearest bus stop is a short 6-minute walk away, providing access to various bus routes. On foot, you can explore nearby attractions such as the Yeongcheon traditional market, Seodaemun Independence Park, and Ansan Observatory. Additionally, there's a beautiful and renowned walking path surrounding my house.
Yonsei University, Ewha Womans University, and Gyeongbok Palace are all within 3 kilometers from my home. Easily reachable within 5~10 minutes by bus and metro. For your convenience, a nearby corner hosts the nearest convenience store, while Muakjae Station or Dongnimmun Station offers a variety of restaurants. I'd be delighted to recommend delicious eateries and local attractions.
Three-fourths of South Korea is mountainous. Like some houses, schools, and museums, my home is also situated on a mountain. If you enjoy a bit of light exercise, staying at my home will undoubtedly satisfy you. However, please note that my home may not be suitable for those who prefer to avoid light physical activity.

House Rules
The most important rule is to let me know if you eat or not and to stay quiet after 10 p.m.
‣ Feel free to use the fridge, microwave, toaster, tableware, washing machine, water purifier, vacuum cleaner, umbrella, thread and needle, scissors, printer, hair dryer, towel and soap.
‣ Mealtime: Breakfast 7:30, Dinner 18:00(Extra charge 10,000 KRW)
Weekend meal times can be flexible.
Please let me know in advance if you don't need a meal. The sooner the better.
If you decide to cook, please clean up after includes dishes.
‣ Warm water comes quicker when the tap is on low pressure (so don’t blast the faucet for warm water to come)
Please clean up your hair in the bathroom (shower, toilet, sink, etc.)
And please leave the door open afterwards.
After taking a shower, tilt your shower shoes so the water can drain (if they are wet.) Spread the shower curtain so that it dries after using it.
‣ Use the password privately and please make sure the door is shut.
‣ The washing machine is available for use from 6 a.m.~21 p.m.
You can use the washing machine up to twice a week.
I will provide the laundry detergent. Leave the lid open after using the washing machine.
‣ When the trash can is full tie a plastic bag and put it in front of the door.
I sometime can empty the trash can or vacuum the room for you. Please tell me if you don't want it.
‣ Bringing over friends is allowed but please let me know beforehand.
‣ Please knock before entering someone else’s room.
‣ Any damages in the house needs to be replaced or charged.
‣ Recycling bins are located in front of the bathroom. South Korea has very strict rules for recycle, please ask for more detail.
‣ Reservations for 3 or more people in A Room
If 3 or 4 people make a reservation, the extra charge is 30,000 won per person per night.
If you make a reservation for 3~4 people in A room, please let me know if you have confirmed this.
‣ I can book a taxi for you. The taxi driver will be waiting for you at the airport, holding a sign with your name, and will take you to my house.
The airport pickup fee is 90,000 won for 1 or 2 people. For 3 or 4 people, it's 125,000 won. When going to the airport, subtract 15,000 won from the previous amount.
‣ South Korea has a robust progressive system for household electricity. With recent increases in electricity bills, there might be some limitations on air conditioner use, but these will be implemented sensibly and within reasonable guidelines.
‣ Please let me know if there are any concerns or questions.

1. Payment should be received in Korean Won on the day of arrival
2. Wire the payment to the bank account to be fully settled by the day of arrival

The perfect place to make home, however temporary. Sujin and family welcomed me into their home, and kitchen. My room was spacious, clean and most importantly the bed was comfortable. Walking distance to everything you could need, including subway station and bus stops. I will be requesting to stay again on my next visit to Korea.

it was a great experience.
Sujin is a great host. She guided me and helped me. I felt at home in her house.
I am looking forward to be able to visit again.
I would recommend this homestay anytime.October 2023
Sujin is such a warm host. Her breakfasts are more than food. It’s the experience of sharing a meal with her, other guests and family. We felt like at home. She helped us also finding a taxi to the airport and even offering shelter to my daughter to make our departure easier. I can’t even express how thankful we are. We will choose her home again when we come back. Definitely!!!!

I stayed with Sujin and her family for four nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. Sujin is a very warm and welcoming person. She and her family are kind and generous, and want you to have an authentic experience of Seoul. I loved getting to know the real Korea, discussing the country over breakfast and dinner, and feeling part of the family. Sujin and I also went on a great hike in the nearby hills, where the views were breathtaking. We had several long chats about Korean society, and I really feel like I learned a lot. Thank you Sujin and family. I highly recommend a homestay at her place! :D

We appreciate the time we spent together with Sujin and all the friendly little chats we had with her amazing family. We had a whale of a time during our stay there, even though it was a short one but without a shadow of a doubt, we will certainly come back again. She provided invaluable help in us navigating our way through the colossal city and it means the world to us. She makes every effort to welcome her guests at her home with open arms and we give thanks for it. To top it off, It was refreshing to be met with such hospitality after our long journey. We are grateful for every kind act she and her family did for us!!

Thanks to Sujin, I could spend a short but fruitful time. She introduced me to a new place, famous food, lots of Korean dishes served at home. As she talked about many social situations in Korea, I wanted to stay more to get to know real life in Korea. I will surely come back to you when I come again. Thank you for your full-hospitality mind.
