I really loved staying with Shinyoung and her mother. The place was really clean. The food Shinyoung's mum cooked was amazing and I already miss it. Shinyoung and her mother were really welcoming and helped with everything. Shinyoung showed me the area on the first day and we even went out for a bikeride to Han river which was really fun. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to come to Seoul.
I am very pleased with this family, they are very kind and wellcoming. They will help you with anything. The house is so cozy and clean, you’ll feel like home. I trully recommend to come with this familly as it has been an amazing experience.
That was a great one month stay! Mom was very kind. She doesn't speak English, so, it is a great opportunity to force you improving your Korean skill. You can always use translation app called Papago to communicate with mom. The house is very clean. The food are great. Mom loves collecting magnets. Shinyoung is very kind, unfortunstely, she was very busy during my stay so I do not see her often. The house is near to a cool place, Hongdae. It is easy to go to Hongdae from bus. It is also easy to go to all around Seoul with only bus from home without subway.
I'm glad I choose to stay with the family!
I had an awesome month staying with shinyoung and her mom! I was very happy living there. The room was clean and spacious. And although i'm a picky eater, the food was very delicious and healthy. They showed me how to get to my university and around the area. Since the mom doesn't speak english, I got to practice a lot of korean which I liked. Thank you for letting me stay in your home and I will definitely stay again in the future! ❤️
My stay with Ajuma and Shinyoung was wonderful! They are so kind and welcoming, that I immediately felt at home at their house! I loved the food and our conversations (although my Korean is still very bad). The only regret I have is that my stay was waaay too short! I miss them already :) Ajuma, Unnie, thank you for the time you spent with me! I hope to see you again and when I come to Korea again, I'll definately stay with you again!
It was perfect! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was happy to live in this family. They all are very kind, sympathetic, positive, kind, nice people. They surround with care and warmth so that it seems like they really are your family! They have done so much for me, and it is impossible to express in words all my thankful!~~~
And of course a big room, private bathroom, a lot of food, cleaning, comfort, good location, peace and quite.
Dear traveler, choose this house for your trip. It really will be greate and unforgettable!
Dear homestay, thank you very much for everything. I love your family so much! You made me happy so many times. You are unbelievable
If I could rate this more than five hearts, I would! I had the most wonderful time staying with Shinyoung and her mother. They greeted me at the train station and took be on a brief tour of the neighbourhood, making sure I knew what buses to take and which stops to get off at. Shinyoung speaks very good English and I speak very little Korean, but getting along was no problem. Shinyoung's mother was an absolute joy to be around. I loved chatting with her in my broken Korean, and she was such an amazing cook! Nothing was better than coming home from a long day of galavanting about Seoul and South Korea than a hot meal, a warm home, and a welcoming family. I was lucky enough to spend my birthday with them during my stay, and they even had a cake with candles ready for me as a surprise. It was also Korean lunar new year during my stay, and I was lucky enough to try traditional Korean new year meals (which were delicious)! I was especially grateful that they took the time at the end of the day to ask how my day was, if I had any plans for the following day, even what time I would like to have breakfast that following morning. They were very accommodating and very hospitable. I would definitely recommend staying with Shinyoung and her family, and if I am ever lucky enough to visit South Korea again, I will definitely be staying with her! Thank you Shinyoung and Soonrye for making my birthday week extra special, and I look forward to seeing you again soon!
It was a really good stay! I was only there for 3 days but i'll always remember it ^^ the mothers cooking was amazing and the daughter speaks really good english and both were friendly and so kind. I would definetly stay again :) thank you for having me~
I spent a week at the Seoul Homestay my first time in Korea. The family is very kind, welcoming and helpful. Since I had never been to Korea before and I don't speak very well they showed me how to get to school on the bus and where to shop for food in the neighborhood. The mother doesn't speak much English so its helpful to know to know some of the language, but we still understood each other well. All the food that the mother cooked was so delicious, lots of different types of side dishes and soups. The room is nice and large, with a big bed, closet & desk. Be sure to bring plug adapters if you are from another country! I had a wonderful time and I will miss the family very much. Hopefully I'll be able to stay here again when I am better at Korean so the mother and I can have a full conversation!
