We are an international couple (italian and english) who is renting out our second bedroom we live in the heart of the city in Lavapies, Madrid. The room for rent is spacious and bright, and it has lots of storage space and a balcony with a washing machine. The open-plan kitchen has everything tenants might need, including a modern fridge, a dishwasher, a stove, an oven, a microwave, and other appliances. The private bathroom, Which is for the exclusive use of the tenant only, is small but very practical and clean.
If you are looking for a central place to live in Madrid, you can not do any better than Lavapies. Lavapies is one of Madrid's most vibrant, eclectic, historic, and trendy neighborhoods, and it has lots of delicious restaurants, unique shops, and a fantastic nightlife scene. Located just minutes from the city center and the most incredible sights That Madrid has to offer.

About the Area
The neighborhood of Lavapies is a vibrant blend of cultures of. It's one of the oldest parts of Madrid Within walking distance of some to the most touristic parts of the city - Sol, Plaza Mayor, El Prado / Thyssen / Reina Sofia museums, Gran Via, Retiro Park and the Royal Palace as well as the blackberries authentic areas such as Calle Huertas, Plaza Santa Ana, Calle Segovia
There is literally no need to rely on public transport Because everything is accessible on foot. There is are excellent connections for travel around the city via Metro and Main line station for surrounding cities.

Claudio and Divina Wer both very accommodating, kind and helpful. Theyspeak very good English and are lovely hosts. The room is very comfortable with its own small Balkone with a washing machine. The bathroom was clean and private and located just across the bedroom door. Very convenient. I personally loved the location. Lively, vibrant, lots going on. Multi ethnic and lots of tasty exotic food on the corner and a big carrefour ( big modern super market in spain) for the more conservative buyer) lavapiez metro station is very close. And the Center is reachable within 15 min on foot. I would trouble claudio again if I ever go back to madrid. Recommended!
How do I book?

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
