I live in a house typical Madrid early twentieth century completely renovated, the house is completely exterior with very light as it has balconies overlooking the street.
I have available a room with a double bed, wardrobe and a table.
Your room and mine are separated by the living room, which will have privacy.
The kitchen is fully equipped (dishwasher, microwave ...)
I have natural gas heating and air conditioning.
I have lived and worked in different countries, I am a sociable person and I like to meet people from different nationalities.
I speak English and French.
I live in a house Which Madrid typical building dated from the beginning of the twentieth century,; it is all new, modern and naturally With plenty of light thanks to the several balconies in the rooms.

You are Within walk-in distance from two main parks here: El Retiro and Botanic (botanical garden), museums (Prado, Thyssem, Reina Sofia).
And you are going to others planning in cities like Toledo, Barcelona, Seville ... the Atocha Train Station is 5 minutes away.
There are two subway station you can take from here: Lavapiés (Line 3) and Anton Martin (Line 1)
I have lived and worked in several Countries. I love to meet people from other places, cultures and learn from Their Be able to share my own one.

Rocío was a superb host and I really enjoyed my stay. She welcomed me into her home and I really felt at home there. She had great advice about things in the area and we enjoyed some great conversation. She was VERY patient and supportive with my struggling Spanish, which I really appreciated. Location is very close to the Lavapiés station and also close to Antón Martín. A few grocery stores very close and bars and restaurants everywhere.
It was unfortunately a short stay of only two weeks but the next time I have a chance to be in Madrid for an extended period of time, I hope her place is available. I would gladly stay with Rocío again!

Rocio is a super friendly and welcoming person. I loved staying at her flat and having talks with her. Also, she can share good recommendations for your stay in Madrid.
The apartment is clean and cozy. The neighborhood is nice and central, with lots of restaurants and bars as well as a close supermarket.
Highly recommend to book your stay at Rocios place :)

Not recommended, especially for long stays. Even considering that every stay is a subjective experience, there are things that are not. The obsession to save money in every way doesn't justify and explain the request of 700€ for a room per month (already discounted) and, according to Rocio, EVEN NOT SO MUCH money to pay to stay there, which, according to honest landlords of Madrid, is definitely not true, but crazy.
Rocio asked a rent of 700€ per month but every appliance needed to be off and as little used as possibile:
- Turned me off the lights of the dining room and rolled up the shutters (just to save 10 minutes of light energy);
- Very strict about washing machine and dishwasher (basically allowed only in the cheapest time slots = the weekends);
- Told me I'm disrespectful because I turned up the heating from 19°C to 21°C without asking, AFTER I said more than one time that it was cold if she kept the heating on only few hours and to a minimum. I also asked for a blanket and she simply said she had none more.February 2020

Lovely stay with Rocio. Very nice apartment, comfortable bed, loved the area so much. Right in the heart of Real Madrid and close to the centre. Would definitely love to stay again.

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries).
