Sweet pea home-stay is situated in Balapitiya Divisional Secretariat and just 350 m away from the
Colombo Galle Main road. The property is located in a peaceful environment with the extent of
nearly 80 perches. Lush greenery garden which surrounds the home-stay gives a relaxing
experience to the tourists. The hosted family consists with four members including 57 years old
lady (the owner), 58 years old retired airman of Sri Lanka Air force, 29 years old graduate who
serves in Sri Lanka Navy as a Lieutenant and a 27 years old graduate who works in the
hospitality industry. All the family members are capable enough to communicate in English. The
owner and her son have a sound knowledge and skill on preparing both local and foreign
cuisines. The home-stay is well equipped with a fine access road, bathroom, Wi-Fi, satellite
Television, hot water, wooden floor and parking facility for more than two vehicles. The rooms
and the surrounding are well maintained according to the international standards.

About the Area
Sweet Pea home-stay locates in a growing tourism zone of Balapitiya. In the past few
years Balapitiya was recognized as another tourist attraction of Sri Lanka due to the
Maadu River and the relatively unspoiled beach around the city. Maadu River is
recognized as an important ecosystem on southern coastal belt due its RAMSAR
Convention citation. Maadu Ganga Estuary and the adjacent islets complex which rooted
with the pristine mangroves of earth. Maadu River is the greatest tourist attraction with
500m proximity to Sweet Pea home stay

Welcoming and kind family. Good atmosfere and helpfull with finding things to do while in Balapitiya. Amazing sri lankan food. Both traditional breakfast and dinner they provide for a litle extra money. Good value for money.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
