We live in a rural setting with a leafy suburb. Our house is only 08 years old,built with natural clay bricks in the middle of a land of 1 1/2 acres. We have 03 bedrooms in total with attached bathrooms. The homestay room has a separate entrance. It faces a panoramic view and my beautiful garden. Both myself and my husband live in this cottage after retirement, to live a quiet life, away from the town. We have 2 sons, both married and live separately. I love cooking,baking etc. and you may have chances to taste spicy Sri Lankan, Indian and Western meals. Ours is an ideal place for people who like to have a stress-free holiday.

About the Area
Our house is located on the South side from the Colombo Airport and is about 40 km. It's in a very quiet and a beautiful village full of trees. The extent of our land is 1 1/2 acres with a cultivation of coconut,pepper,banana, duriyang and a variety of fruit trees. One boundary of our land is a water stream. It's surrounded by paddy fields and in the front there's a beautiful range of mountains.
In the morning, the chirps of the birds wake you up. We are Buddhists and nature lovers. This place is ideal for people who want to relax themselves, meditate and live with the nature. There is a super market about 2 1/2 kms from our house.

I stayed here for three weeks, this is a great place to stay to get away from everything and just relax in nature. The hosts are super friendly, warm and welcoming, I immediatelly felt at home here. They were also very helpful with everything and I felt really taken care of. The meals provided are delicious and plenty! Gained some insight into Sri Lankan culture, too...

J'ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour chez Nandanie et Aruna. Ils ont fait preuve d'une grande gentillesse et disponibilité. Nandanie et Aruna étaient pour moi comme une grande sœur et un grand frère !
Ils ont beaucoup œuvré pour préparer les repas, la cuisine était excellente et raffinée. Vous aurez beaucoup de mal à finir les succulents et variés repas de Nandanie.
Tous les matins et avant le petit déjeuner, Anura vous servira sa "potion magique" sur la terrasse, avec le gazouillis des oiseaux et le magnifique levé de soleil au-dessus des montagnes.
Leur belle maison est située dans un endroit idyllique, avec de magnifiques cocotiers, diverses variétés d'essence d'arbres et un beau jardin !
La chambre d'hôte est impeccable et grandiose. Elle a sa salle de bains (eau chaude) et ses toilettes. Vous avez des serviettes de bains, des draps et des couvertures avec un set pour vos ablutions.
C'est un véritable havre de paix pour celles et ceux qui recherchent la sérénité !
Aux cours de vos promenades dans les petits villages, vous aurez un excellent accueil avec la population locale. Vous pourrez admirer la faune et la flore et les quelques temples Bouddhistes.
S'agissant du transfert de l'aéroport Colombo à la maison, pas d'inquiétude !
Anura et Nandanie peuvent venir vous récupérer avec la superbe "Cadillac".
Vous paierez bien moins cher que le taxi.Après 24 jours, auprès de leur charmante et agréable compagnie, j'ai eu beaucoup de mal à me séparer de ma grande sœur et de mon grand frère qui ont eu la grande gentillesse, le jour de mon départ, de m'offrir une magnifique kermesse avec les enfants des villages.
J'ai même eu droit à des honneurs digne d'un Chef d'Etat.Si cela ne doit pas les déranger, il me serait agréable de revenir chez eux.

We had the pleasure of staying in Nandanie's and her husband's homestay. The house and the garden are beautiful and the guests has their own room with own entrance and bathroom. The room was really clean and comfortable with fan, mosquito net and lovely garden view. Nandanie and her husband were very hospitable and friendly hosts and they cooked us delicious Sri Lankan food with some tasty specialities. We really enjoyed staying there and highly recommend this place for the travellers that are looking for authentic Sri Lankan experience and peaceful environment.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
