Kibo Home is located in the city center approximately 2.5 km from Ubungo bus terminal through Morogoro road then Shekilango road to Mapambano. Guests will be living with our family of four 4 friendly relative sisters ready to share cultural experiences. Bedrooms available for our guests are private rooms with one double bed sharing bathrooms with family members.
Apart from the rooms, the house has a big and comfortable living room in which our guests will have access as members of the family. The house is fenced with enough space to use as an outside lounge with a security gate for safety purposes. Both members of the family speaks English and Swahili but with great urge of learning more foreign languages when there will be guests interested to share such lovely experiences.

About the Area
Kibo Homestay based is located in a quiet environment where there is great opportunities of concentrating in other activities while being at the house. The sea (Indian Ocean) with beaches is approximately 4-5 kms from the house where guests interested with the beaches will have time for recreation. The house is located 47 kms from the Airport when there is no traffic jam and we can also arrange for transfers when requested at a very reasonable price.
Local transportation is the best and cheap means of moving from one place to another while being in Kibo Home. The common vehicles are the minibuses (Dala dala- local name) operating within Dar es Salaam and other big buses when travelling to other regions from Dar es Salaam. While being in our family house you will have access to small local shops, markets, mini supermarkets and the big ones where all together can have the basic demands.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
