This is a long review. I arrived at 0340 but had asked Selina to pick me up later about 6 am as it was too early to get someone out of bed. I saw a young lady walking with a purpose: confidently towards the arrivals area. I just knew it was her. I saw myself in that walk. She went looking for me, but I stayed seated. A few mins later she saw me. We clicked.
To get to the point, Selina is absolutely wonderful, hardworking, and fun to be around. I was her first homestay guest & I could see that she worked hard at trying to get her place ready.
My room was large, bright & very comfortable. The bathroom was large. She even provided me with slippers for the house, took me to the beach, to shop and bargained for me so that I got my gifts at a fair price without exploiting anyone.
We later discovered that we were born on the same day and month. I have made a wonderful friend.
Book Selina for a comfortble stay with warmth and fun. Her home is simple but clean. Electricty and Water are a problem all over Tanzania so if there is shortage don't worry. Selina makes sure to store water in large bucket for the bathroom - just in case, I never had to use it. Communication was great!
