I spend12 wonderful days with Erika and her family. All of them were very kind and caring. I was also introduced to the neighborhoud. After the 12 days I felt as a member of the family and part of the neighborhood community. But do not expect a room within the home of the family. You have a room with an En-Suite bartroom which is absolute seperatet from the family's rooms. So no contact "around " the clock. However at the next possibility I will come back. Thank you Erika for this wonderful stay with you and your family.

Erika and her parents are very kind and I enjoyed very much their hospitality. Her mother is especially kind teaching me how to cook Thai cuisine. I enjoyed staying there like home and whenever I need hlep, they are always around. The location is good to experience the Thai culture and how people lead their daily life. The room is clean and spacous, convenient to move around with the local bus which is 8 baht only. I would highly recommend people who would like to experience the culture and the way people live.

Erika's Home is a very large lodge-like place consisting of dormitory-like rooms on the second through fourth floors, probably 30 or so rooms per floor. My room was on the second floor and consisted of two single beds, air-conditioning, WiFi, television, mini-refrigerator, table, two chairs, a desk with stool, a hot water pot, and a bathroom with a personal hot-water heater for the heater. I'm not certain if all rooms had these luxuries but it made my stay of 10 days very pleasant.
Erika runs the facility with her parents making the atmosphere warm due to their hospitality, grace and charm. They are quick to help with anything that may be necessary, from food to laundry to travel.
The only thing one criticism that mighty be levied against Erika's Home is its location; it is not in Bangkok proper and a bit of a way from the Sky Train. However, there are many taxis, busses and motorcycles travelling down the nearby road that will get you to the Sky Train or wherever you want to go for a small fee.
Since Erika is both a tour guide and a travel aficionado, the tourist who stays in her home is sure to be well informed of the various popular tourist attractions as well as convenient and inexpensive ways of arriving at them. I was even invited to go to Cambodia on my first day of arrival!
Erika's Home is a wonderful place to stay while in Bangkok. It promises a pleasant, hospitable stay for a modest price.
