About the Homestay
Our homestay is an ideal place for adventurers looking to get off the beaten path and experience life in a small, local Thai village. You will taste delicious, authentic, home-cooked Thai food and learn how to cook each dish with us in our kitchen. During the daytime hop on a scooter and enjoy the beautiful nature, visit an elephant sanctuary, or explore the colorful market. A stay with us is much more than just a bed to sleep; we provide a home-like atmosphere and help show you the real Thailand. Our home is 15km from the city of Chiang Mai, where instead of being in crowded streets you will be surrounded by rice paddies, farms, and flower plantations.
We are a friendly young couple who enjoy opening up our home and have been hosting guests for the last two years. I, Jacob, am also a professional guide who has expert knowledge of the sites in the area, and organize breathtaking jungle treks that you cannot find from the usual tour groups. My girlfriend, Eu, is a wonderful cook who prepares rich, filling meals and enjoys sharing with guests about the secrets of Thai cooking. You will also enjoy the company of our friendly labrador Rosso, and on the weekends of our energetic, playful nephews Hottie and Yim.
We offer comfortable accommodation in two open-air bamboo huts with tents in our garden. The tents have an inflatable air mattress, pillows, blankets, and a screen to keep the bugs out. Also included is a fan, electrical outlets, lamp, storage shelves, and a hammock. Guests have access to our indoor toilet and shower, a relaxing lounge area in the garden with a bbq, and laundry facilities.
Due to the fact that we have only two bungalows and it's high season, there is a minimum stay of 5 nights. This also allows us to provide a more memorable experience for our guests. We strive to offer our guests a personal, unique, local experience that no tour or guidebook can recreate. Therefore, we offer two options:
Option 1: Basic
- Accommodation only
Cost: As shown below
Option 2: All-inclusive
- Homemade Thai breakfast and dinner: Enjoy rich, authentic, local meals cooked in our home by Eu. She is a wonderful cook and you are invited to cook and learn alongside her. We can cater meals to your diet/tastes [vegetarian, spice level, etc]. There is no need to pay for a cooking class when you will have a personal one every day in our home. All the pictures of food are photos from our homemade meals! We do not provide lunch as during the daytime most guests are out exploring.
- Scooter rental: We will provide you a Honda 110cc automatic scooter. As you will find it is the most convenient, and fun way to get around and see everything nearby.
- One incredible hike: A stunning 15km trek that will start from the summit of Doi Poi [the highest mountain in Chiang Mai]. On the way down we will pass through lush jungle, coffee plantations, fruit farms, beautiful waterfalls, and a lake.
Cost: 5,000 THB for 1 person, for 5 days. 6,000 THB for 2 people, for 5 days
*Additional days can be added for 1,200 THB.
*Additional guided treks: Starting from 500 THB per trek, per person

- Elephant sanctuary
- National park [free entry], with tons of trails for hiking or biking

Jakub was a great host. I really enjoyed having a scooter and being able to explore parts of Chiang Mai that I wouldn’t have if I had stayed in the city. We went on a jungle trek one day and got to stop in one of the hill villages which was beautiful. I would definitely recommend his place and even maybe return myself. Thank you Jakub!
