Paapu House is located on the Ancient moat directly opposite the Old City. Guests here can easily explore Chiang Mai on foot. If walking is not for you, we have bicycles for our guests and there are tuk tuks and passenger trucks (song thaew) everywhere. Wararot (Chinatown) is a 15 minute walk away or 30 THB by local transport. From here you can easily explore the riverfront as well.
You will find our rooms to be clean, comfortable & cozy. We take pride in our appearance & reputation. Paapu has a large social room downstairs where travellers can enjoy fantastic coffee, breakfast & exchange stories.
The entire property has free WiFi. All rooms have a fan. All bathrooms are a shared facility that are cleaned daily. We also provide a laundry service.

About the Area
We are well located within reach of Chiang Mai's most popular destinations; Old City, Wararot, Nimmahaemin, Riverside & easy access to the airport (4.3km) and Doi Suthep (11km). Many tourists also use our house to explore the Chiang mai & Chiang Rai province (approx 3 hours by mini van).
By foot or (free bicycle) you can explore the many Temples & local eatery's. Chiang Mai also offers Elephant tours & Hill tribe trekking. There are also the Weekend Markets & much more.
Chiang Mai is famous for it's culturally diverse food and has been the focus of many cook books & television series. The cuisine is influenced by Yunnan (Chinese), Burmese, Indian as well as North Eastern & central Thai styles.

Fun and kind host, extremely dedicated. The place is beautiful, it has a concert space and a bar. It feels to be at home as there are limited rooms. The host even thought to wish me an happy birthday best place where I've been.

Paapu House is a Gem! I felt welcomed and well taken care of from the very first day. My room was clean and cozy and the area downstairs is nice to chill and/or work at.
Among other activities, there are local bands playing once a week or so which is an amazing opportunity to have a good time and get to know interesting people.
If I wanted to do some Activities in Chiang Mai Paapu would help organise them for me. So there was hardly anything to organise for me, which was nice!As I traveled by myself I can really recommend this place especially for single travellers.
Since I had an wonderfull experience at Paapu House and didn't mind the music I most definitely will be returning to this place. Either with a friend or by myself again.
Thank you so much to Paapu and Roger! You guys are amazing and I can't wait to see you again.

This is a really cool place with a very cool vibe. Paapu is so inviting and help make your stay one to remember. She can help setup with transportation, tours and great restaurants in the area. Everyone I met here were very friendly and open about their travels. The shared bathrooms were never a problem. I stayed in a room without air-con and I stayed in a room with air-con, both were nice, clean and organized. The location is convenient to all the things I wanted to see in Chiang Mai. The best part about this place was the live music on Thursday nights!

Paapu is excellent host. We can not ask for more. Hospitality that you hardy can match in Thailand. Her whole house is full of nice details, rooms are cozy and clean. Toilet/bathrooms are clean. Great breakfast and even better atmosphere.

Paapo House is wonderful. A clean and very cosy place to stay. The host is extremely nice and polite and makes sure you feel special. A very good place for low budet. You feel immidiately being welcome.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
