About the Homestay
Having travelled for business purposes, trained in hospitality in pontoon and K long out at seas and hotels, subsequently living in hyper mode for approximately 37 professional years, I long to recapture antiquity of my yesteryears in my very own cultural living and palettes with vast collection of unique foliage. Home Baan was selected to capture these aspects of Lanna Peranakan style near the Mae Ping River yet remains in its New City district and just 4 km from The Chiang Mai International airport. It is nested in Thai tradition single unit village (meaning a self contained one for its villagers' needs) facilitating our one stop travel service concept with all regulations complied upon. Located in the peripheral clusters of popular antiquity sites, sprouts of theme café and restaurants and motorbiking shops, we establish ourselves catering for the independent seekers without being stacked head on foot living like shoe boxes in the hub cities, the ambiance still harness the Thai village vitality without bus loads of tourists and lane blocking.
I needed a mental booster knowing that traditional believes and interaction avails distance from the tourists trap but yet located in 700meters facilities of modern day amenities and transports, where fixed route transport and taxis is available in near distances, in our terms, accesses to public airconditioned loaf van transport services and modern day banking facilities and dry and wet markets with nearby modern medical facilities care.
We cater to people who is living in shoe boxes, people who needs to buy space to garden their produce, a space for pets or parents of children who wants to redress awareness of their children on what nature really is, the independent and inquisitive who wants to have something to do and historian interested personalities who seeks to immense in practices of continuing Chiang Mai cultures and adventures, nearby archeological architectures either through arranging with our tour desks or on your self driven transportations along route 3029 (also a cycling enabled route) and 121 where heaps of hidden gems awaits you without the place feeling overvisited which can be annoying and irritating. Some nearby attractions are Ratchaphruek Royal Garden, the Night Safari Park and Ping river route into night Bazaar, Grand Canyon water park where you can water surf and ski. If you are looking to take your vehicle licenses, the Chiang Mai Provincial Transport Office is just on the main 108 route opposite the Airport. One additional aspect is we flavor our food using grown herbs from our garden and specially collected for our guests.
Each of our rooms are further provided with their outdoor private spaces. Further we live local, we explore local and share local knowledge on your presence. We are close to sights known throughout the world for visitations plus less well known ones. Our focus is to have your trip as relaxed without the tinge of being overcrowded by tourism with self time to recoup for your important break and hopefully leave good memories of your stay with us.
Kop Khun kha!
