Helpful hosts, and fully vaccinated , Tony and Anne, provide great tips, tricks and advice to get the most fun from your Thai holiday
The home is a typical Thai town house 20 minutes from Central Bangkok. There are 2 connected bedrooms which are rented individually only to related parties. Both have queen beds and are air conditioned and a private bathroom is allocated for guests.
40 metres from the door are 24/7 taxis and a mini bus service every 5 minutes to the nearest sky train station, Banjaak, and the area has local restaurants and (safe) street food stalls available all day.
Your hosts are Tony (Aussie) and Anne (Thai), are a semi retired couple who love having guests.
We have travelled throughout Asia in general and extensively in Thailand and our collective knowledge of customs, tourist / shopping areas and Bangkok in general allows us to guide our guests with advice throughout their stay.
To further enhance the experience we also provide an airport meet and greet and a free orientation day to several tourist areas using multiple means of public transport so our guests feel more comfortable moving about the city on their own. As an extra service we also teach some basic Thai phrases to help communication.
Jn short we are a couple who enjoy the company of diverse people and we love to help make a guests stay both enjoyable and memorable.

About the Area
We are in a quiet soi (side street) in a predominately Thai area which includes restaurants, street food and mini marts.

The trip to Central Bangkok takes about 15-20 minutes, so you have the best of both worlds, an opportunity to experience the real Thai experience but within easy reach of the central tourist and shopping areas.

We stayed Tony and Anne house for 2 nights.
It was the amazing memory in Bangkok.
They are very friendly, kindly, and polite.
Tony told us important things for Bangkok trip and helped that we participated in early morning tour.
Anne spent her time for us even if she had super busy working.
Furthermore they celebrated my friend birthday together with singing and present.
We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to any other future guests. We would love to see them again at a future date.Host reply

Please note; this is abbreviated from the original one I wrote that was thorough and detailed which got lost in the internet space after hitting submit, gah.
Tony and Anne were absolutely wonderful hosts and I recommend them without reservation. In short, this is what I appreciated the most about them: (1) help getting set up in Southeast Asia/Thailand via getting you hooked up with a good priced SIM card, how to handle taxis, how to navigate the sky train system, and can be your airport pick up if you desire, which I opted to do as it was my first time to Asia and was very glad I did. (2) providing an awesome authentic experience and providing instrumental help in navigating the norms of an actual Thai neighborhood with no other tourists in sight. (3) their happiness in offering advice and recommendations, and supporting your trip unfolding as a wonderful adventure. I went with zero itinerary in trusting that I would find things to do, and Tony and Anne definitely made that dream come true!
The place was spacious and having my own bathroom was an awesome luxury to start my trip off. Getting to have coffee every morning with Tony to talk through some possible options for the day was such a gift. Many laughs were also had when I would return home from the days adventure and I could share the funny mishaps. It was invaluable having someone to message to say “eeep I think I hopped on the wrong train home”. All in all, it truly did feel like home. Can’t wait to come back to Tony and Anne’s next year, with far more Thai speaking skills under my belt to better converse with locals!

Tony and Anne were wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed staying with them. They were very generous with their time and energy, picking us up from the airport, sharing typical (and delicious!) Thai meals with us, and teaching us many things about Thai culture and language. We had great conversation and appreciated how open and warm both of them are. They took us all around town including showing us how to navigate the mini bus, Sky Train, and taxis, helping us get SIM cards, and taking us to the Jim Thompson house. Their home was very clean and comfortable, the air conditioning works well, and the shower was great. Tony also made us Thai coffee each morning and kindly let us do laundry at the house. The neighborhood is lovely with many shops and restaurants and easy access to public transport. On top of everything, this homestay was a great value. We highly recommend everyone to stay here and hope to be back in the future!

Tony and Anne were absolutely amazing hosts! We had such a good time connecting with them and staying in their home. The home was incredibly clean and the location was perfect! On our first day, Tony took us out to show us how to use the train and other public transportation. We shared great conversations and really felt at home. He frequently provided us with suggestions and great recommendations. We even shared a meal at a fantastic restaurant. The food was soo good , some of the best we ate in Thailand. We are excited to return as we know exactly where we will be staying again. Thank you Tony and Anne for your generosity and hospitality! We miss Thailand already !

An ABSOLUTELY ICONIC local Thai homestay experience, would not hesitate to come back again!!
Tony and Anne’s stay was wholesome from the minute we entered their cozy home. Tony was so welcoming and generous with showing us around Bangkok and giving us local restaurant recommendations. We will never forget the soup lady that came down their street every morning. The pork wonton noodle soup from the soup lady was the best breakfast we’ve had in our life so far. Anne was so sweet to show us a local massage place and even offered us homemade snacks . Tony was a pleasure to chat with and would answer all of incessant questions. After staying at Tony and Anne’s place, we went on a hectic tourist filled bus tour to North Thailand, and dearly missed the peace at Tony’s Homestay. Tonys home was clean, tidy, well kept, and safe with children playing on the streets. There was plenty of bottled water in the fridge we were free to take before heading to the city. We had no issue feeling we were well cared for. Overall our stay at Tony’s homestay was an iconic part of our trip, and allowed us to immerse ourselves into a local Thai experience. We highly recommend you chose to stay with Tony for your Bangkok adventures. Especially if you are searching for a local experience.Host reply

Tony and Anne’s homestay was the second best part of Bangkok (the first being the street food). The exterior of the house was so pretty. It had a bench in front of the house, which led to us dubbing the house as ‘The house with the chair in front’.
They were extremely hospitable and accommodative of our requests and itinerary. Tony helped us navigate around Bangkok like a local, which helped us save on commute related costs. The rooms were clean and well maintained as was the bathroom. We had access to the kitchen as well, and Tony brewed coffee for us every morning!
We had some great conversations with Tony and Anne, but due to our itinerary, we were unable to spend as much time with them as we would have wanted. We look forward to returning to Bangkok and staying at Tony & Anne’s soon!
We would definitely recommend their homestay to everyone visiting Bangkok for a quiet, and peaceful, and hospitable stay.

Our stay with Tony and Anne was delightful.
Tony came to the airport and picked us up,wich was grately appreciated after 3 hour drive and 12 hour flight.
The first night in Bangkok Anne and Tony took us out for dinner, we tasted all kinds of tasty cuisine.
On our second day Anne took us to see Jim Thompsons House, to a mall where she hooked us up with sim cards and after all that we asked her if we could take a boat trip.
That was not a problem to Anne and we ended up at IconSiam Mall. We had a blast and the children really enjoyed them selves.
They thought us to use the minibus and the skytrain.
For a first timers in Bangkok I highly recommend staying with Tony and Anne.
I also recommend them for a family.Host reply

Staying with Tony & Anne was a great way to start my Thailand adventure! They both made me feel comfortable like i was at my own home and made my life very easy while i was with them
It was great service for Anne to meet me at the airport so i need not worry about the stress of figuring out taxis or transport after a 12 hour flight.
Although im not a typical tourist coming here for food or culture specifically my main goal was adventure and putting myself out there and they both accommodated to let me go at my own pace. (Which is slow)
I had a slight change to my plan and they were able to be flexible and extended my stay which was very helpful.
For now i continue my adventure in Thailand and i know you will not regret your stay here.
5/5 I Recommend.
