About the Homestay
The home is a typical Thai town house 20 minutes from Central Bangkok. There are 2 connected bedrooms, both with queen beds and air conditioned and a private bathroom is allocated for guests.
40 metres from the door are 24/7 taxis and a mini bus service every 5 minutes to the nearest sky train station, Banjaak, and the area has local restaurants and (safe) street food stalls available all day.
Your hosts are Tony (Aussie) and Bor (Thai), an empty nest couple who love having guests.
We have travelled throughout Asia in general and extensively in Thailand and our collective knowledge of customs, tourist / shopping areas and Bangkok in general allows us to guide our guests with advice throughout their stay.
To further enhance the experience we also provide an airport meet and greet and a free orientation day to several tourist areas using multiple means of public transport so our guests feel more comfortable moving about the city on their own. As an extra service we also teach some basic Thai phrases to help communication.
Jn short we are a couple who enjoy the company of diverse people and we love to help make a guests stay both enjoyable and memorable.

If you're looking for a good homestay look no further, Tony's guesthouse is the very best. As a firstime solo traveller (28 yr old) it was a daunting idea to just "wing it" when arriving at the Bangkok airport. Tony came and picked me up, made me settle right it. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are all good and well. He took me to see the Bangkok nightlife (never going to forget this night in my life) and the day after provided an amazing tour of several great sights not known to most tourists, this while explaining the neccecities to get around. We also just chilled and watched movies. I could not have wished for a better start of my journey. Tony I am forever grateful for your time and hospitality! I might bend my itinerary to visit once more.
Tony is a very nice and friendly host. If you stay in his house in the middle of Bangkok you feel like in a small village. It´s so quiet und relaxed there. But you can find all you need in walking distance, 7-Eleven, TESCO, street food, mini-bus to the skytraine etc. Tony is very schooled with the history and the life of Bangkok and also a good guide. Every question and problem was responds from him. He is also a lovely baker. We absolutely enjoyed his australian cheesecake!
Tony was a great host. He helped me obtain a SIM card for my phone, showed my how to get around Thailand and gave me daily tips about where to go and how to get there. Very easy going and accommodating. Definitely went above and beyond to meet any needs I had as a traveler. I would recommend this homestay to anyone!
Our stay with Tony was a great experience. He was kind enough to pick us up upon arrival in Bangkok. He also gave us a personal tour so that we can easily go around the city during our stay. He is very helpful and friendly. He gave us several useful tips. We don't know what we would've done if it wasn't for Tony. We also had a chance to see how local Thais live in the neighborhood. We went to the fruit stand every morning. It was so delicious.
We had a wonderful stay with Tony. He picked up first my boyfriend from the airport and than me in the evening. We had a lovely first dinner together and got to know a lot of great information and Tipps , which was so helpful. The next day , Tony did a great tour with us and we had a lot of fun with him. He also didn't mind at all to let us back in late at night , which we really appreciated. The house is comfy and the are is really local which we enjoyed a lot. If you want a local experience with a lot of great Insider Tips and some fun conversations and have the convenience of getting picked up from the airport this is the thing to do. We are so happy we stayed with Tony. Hope we will meet again some day !
Tony was really helpful right from the word go. He taught us useful phrases, helped us to understand the basics of getting around and the do’s and don’ts of the Thai culture. He advised us how to deal with taxis and which ones to use, how much things should generally cost and when to haggle.
The house was situated within a local Thai area and around 20 mins from the centre by taxi if there’s not too much traffic.
The locals are very friendly and it’s a nice introduction to Bangkok to get you used to the general buzz about the place if you start here before venturing to the touristy area.
And the local pad Thai is the best we have had so far. Make sure to visit the fruit man in the morning and the sticky rice lady (you will start to dream about it).
Thanks Tony (and Bor) xx
As first time visitors to Bangkok, Tony and Bor’s Homestay fit our needs wonderfully. We greatly appreciated how Tony met us at the airport upon arrival, then proceeded the next day to show us how to navigate around the city using the BTS train and taxis. In addition, we got the experience of living for a few days in a typical house in a Thai neighborhood, learning how Bangkok residents live from day to day. We found Tony to be personable, down to earth, easy to relate with, and always ready to answer our questions.
If there was one thing we would change about this Homestay it would be to have the harder of the two beds be a little softer, but that’s just a personal preference.
We would definitely recommend this Homestay to others planning their first visit to Bangkok.
My friend Kate and I stayed at Tony and Bor’s place for 4 nights. It was overall a wonderful experience and we feel lucky that we found him on homestay. When we arrived, Tony picked us up from the airport and he helped us “settle in” by giving us a tour the next day, so that we would know everything about how to get around and the best local thai places we should go to. For several nights, we got back very late, but they woke up to let us in, which is very kind. Our room and the location of their place is good value for the money it costs to stay with them, central and close to the train station. You also get a nice tuk-tuk ride for 10bht fom their place almost to the train station. Thanks for everything! Gerda and Kate
This is my first time to travel alone to stay with locals and it was a great experienced. Tony is very accommodating and so friendly, am very comfortable with the place (the house), on my first day I planned to go out and roam around but I choose to stay because the room is so cozy. The following day Tony accompanied me to some places and the mall. The food nearby the house are so cheap and reasonable.
I'm pretty sure that I will come back again!!!
Fantastic knowledge of surroundings in Bangkok . Thanks , Tony . Your advice regarding getting around and food places was invaluable . Convenient location , at the same time as being off the main track a little , and nice quiet area . Recommended to all .
