About the Homestay
Helpful hosts, Tony and Bor, who provide great tips, tricks and advice to get the most fun from your Thai holiday
The home is a typical Thai town house 20 minutes from Central Bangkok. There are 2 connected bedrooms which are rented individually only to related parties. Both have queen beds and are air conditioned and a private bathroom is allocated for guests.
40 metres from the door are 24/7 taxis and a mini bus service every 5 minutes to the nearest sky train station, Banjaak, and the area has local restaurants and (safe) street food stalls available all day.
Your hosts are Tony (Aussie) and Bor (Thai), an empty nest couple who love having guests.
We have travelled throughout Asia in general and extensively in Thailand and our collective knowledge of customs, tourist / shopping areas and Bangkok in general allows us to guide our guests with advice throughout their stay.
To further enhance the experience we also provide an airport meet and greet and a free orientation day to several tourist areas using multiple means of public transport so our guests feel more comfortable moving about the city on their own. As an extra service we also teach some basic Thai phrases to help communication.
Jn short we are a couple who enjoy the company of diverse people and we love to help make a guests stay both enjoyable and memorable.

To stay with Tony was just the best opening bid for our first stay in Thailand. He gave on request valuable advice and suggestions and above all, he took us on a daytour to teach us how to handle the Bankokian transportquestion and to introduce us to Thai history and culture. We loved the brief chats we had on many topics and felt us truly at home in their house and their neighbourhood. If there will ever be installed a "Thomas Cook Award", he and Bor should be top of the first list of nominees. THANKS !!!
The best way to start this review is with the warmest of thank you's to Tony and Bor. I will be forever grateful to have picked your homestay for my first visit to Bangkok. What an amazingly friendly and helpful couple you are!
Tony has taken such an amazing amount of time to show me the ropes. He thought me important phrases in Thai so I can get around. He taught me how to handle the cab drivers, street merchants (good and bad ones), how to get around with public transportation and much much more. I did not expect this level of attention. Tony truly cared about making his guest's trips the most amazing one they could be.
What was truly outstanding is all the little tips about hidden gems around town. I visited museums, temples and markets that were close to devoid of any other tourists. Tony even went out of his way and spend close to a day with me on a sort of 'intro to Bangkok' day where we bought SIM cards and had local food. Very practical need.
Lastly, I need to mentioned the home itself. I could not have wished for a more ideal location. It was in the heart of a small suburb and thus, I could actually get a good feeling of how the Bangkok residents live. Food stalls, stores and restaurants in walking distance and still far away from the inner city. Perfect location. Plus, the neighbors were so friendly, waving and greeting as I walked by, with their kids playing feather ball or riding their bikes in the little alley. It was so enchanting.
Once I press submit review, I will probably think of 5 more things that I enjoyed about the stay. But I hope you pick Tony and Bor's for your stay in Bangkok as I whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone looking, especially if you are have to get a non-touristy type of vacation. They treated me as a friend rather than a guest and I will be back 100%.
Thank you again, Tony and Bor. Until we see each other again. Sawasdee!
When we arrived Tony picked us up from the airport and then made a first visit to Bangkok with us, which we really appreciated. Tony and Bor were always available to help us. The only advice we would give Bor and Tony is that they should pay more attention to the cleanliness of the bedroom and the bathroom.
Tony and Bor are incredible hosts. I stayed there for two nights. Tony picked me up at the airport. The next day we did a tour around Bangkok. He also took me to get my SIM card in a trusted place, which was most appreciated.
I only paid for his train ticket and a taxi ride back to the house ( I offered to pay for his lunch, which I encourage people to do, since he kindly offers this service for free -You will not find many hosts that are willing or able to take you on a tour the first day around the city-). Tony is always smiling and making jokes. He’s also patient and kind.
Also, as a female solo traveler I felt very comfortable and safe with him. Tony also helped me to understand Thai culture and gave me important tips for navigating the country.
Bor is super friendly and always smiling :)
I recommend this place if you wanna stay in a traditional middle class area and experience what is to live like a local.
Tony and Bor you are both in my heart. More than host you became my friends :)
If and whenever i feel sad and lonely
Just return to Tony's and bor home to feel happyness agin
Tony Is such a gentleman the few minutes of meeting Tony at the airport
I just new my vacation to Thailand was going to be a success. Plus Tony is a wealth of information. And his compassion to his guests
Are second to none. I came to Tony's as a guest. And left knowing I have a good friend. As a homestay host my self. I can truly recommend tony
Once agin thanks for looking after me
Your new friend
What an awesome gem! The home was cozy and in a great location. Tony picked us up at the airport and gave a full day tour of some great spots in Bangkok. We only paid for the taxi and his train ticket which was less than the cost of a meal. We were provided with towels, linen, morning coffee, and as much bottled water as we needed. Tony was so much fun and was much more than just a host. He showed us how to use public transportation to get around, showed us some great places to eat and even escorted us to an amazing night market. We ventured off on our own and had some trouble....just a quick call to Tony and got us all straightened out! Anyone who stays with Tony and Bor will not be disappointed. If you want to see the REAL Bangkok this is the place to stay!
We had a great time with Tony last week :) The accommodation is very comfortable with private bathroom and bedroom, good air con and wifi. The street is quiet with good corner shops very close and ample choice of local food which Tony is happy to introduce you to. Nothing is too much trouble EVEN if you want to visit a unicorn themed cafe!! It's a great real thai experience to be out of the tourist route (but not too far away) and getting to know real Thailand. I really recommend getting a tour with Tony, and do take him to the unicorn cafe again- he loved it (hehehehe!!)
Tony is a top bloke. He knows Bangkok, he shows you Bangkok and then he gives you the tools to see Bangkok for your self. He is also incredibly aware of costs so if you're looking to make every Baht count, he's your man. Super interesting to talk to, he makes you feel right at home. Such a lovely guy, and Bor is also friendly and a sweetie.
Great stay at Bor and Tony house.
Their kindness is incredible, a big thanks for them and a special one for Tony who guided me through Bangkok for two whole days in the nine touristic areas. An unforgettable moment for me. I am sure we will be back
Tony Was Awesome the Home is perfect for the Budget. Couldn’t ask for a Better Host.
Think we may have been spoilt as he well and truly did more than was listed. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Bor as she was away with family obligations but we will catch up when she’s back.
Clean Rooms we booked Botha as we have our 12 year old Daughter with us.
She loved the Free wifi.
Free cable so she was happy as.
I have learnt so much more being under Tony’s roof than I would have had I booked an apartment. Street wise in Thailand is import not for safety but more so for peace of mind.
And Toni taught us that and more.
We are all comfortable with hello and thank you and a few numbers greetings to the elders
We visited some great places and ventured out on our own and made it back thanks to Toni.
Your are awesome tony and my family and I thank you.
William Harri And Paige.
