I am British and live in rural north Phuket for 12 years - I build small hotels and guesthouses that I and my extended Thai family manage. They come from the Issan region of north-east Thailand and speak Lao as their family language.
I am the foreign police officer at the airport - my volunteer job is to help tourists who request assistance in time of need, (I speak, read and write Thai language).
I recently built a cosy home for myself amongst a working rubber tree plantation, minutes from the international airport and beach. It's about 50 metres from one of our hotels, but completely rural, with nothing but rubber trees, tree frogs and flying lizards, butterflies and the constant sound of trickling water from my garden fountains.
I have built some guest rooms (separate from my house), and furnished them to a high standard, with air-con, free wifi, private bathroom with hot shower, flat-screen TV with foreign channels, DVD player, minibar fridge etc.
There is a large veranda outside for relaxing on, a hammock and a shared kitchen.
You are welcome to stay for a single night or longer. (Many people stay just for one night, as they travel to or from the nearby airport for their flights - we provide a free shuttle car 24 hours a day).
If you stay longer, you can relax on the beach, visit the nearby national park with elephant riding, visit the gibbon sanctuary, go play with the stray dogs at Soi Dog Foundation, visit James Bond island and Phang-Nga Bay.

About the Area
My property is located on a very quiet, cul-de-sac road, amongst a working rubber tree plantation. But surprisingly, (considering how quiet it is), it is less than 3 minutes by free shuttle car from Phuket International Airport. NaiYang beach is 5 minutes away by car and you can rent a motorbike to explore the island.

House Rules
Keep the noise down - other guests may be sleeping. You can smoke anywhere but in your guestroom. Don't even think of taking drugs here - I am a working police officer!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
