About the Area
The home is found in Hoima, a very beautiful town in western Uganda, about:
- 200 km (124 miles) northwest of Kampala, the capital city and 3kms from Hoima central market along Hoima Kyenjojjo road
- 30 km (19 miles) from Lake Albert-a very beautiful lake with great sceneries
- 50 km (31 miles) from Murchison Falls National Park, one of the well-known wild life reserves
- 3 km (1 mile) from Hoima town center, easy to access local markets and other amenities
Situated in a tranquil, natural environment, the cottages provide a quiet getaway surrounded by lush gardens enveloped by: a scenic countryside; Villages nearby with an opportunity to immerse oneself in local culture; Loads of wildlife, including birds, monkeys, and butterflies

General Rules
1. Take care of our home and community: Be gentle with our home and the world around us.
2. Quiet hours: 10 PM - 7 AM (keep noise level down within this period)
3. Clean up after self: In regard to shared spaces, like the kitchen and living room.
Sustainable Practices
Conserve water and energy: Please turn taps and lights off when not in use
1. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Please help us to reduce waste by using the recycling bins and reusing items where ever possible.
2. Eco-friendly products: We provide eco-friendly soap, shampoo, and toilet paper; please make use of this to reduce environmental impacts.
Cultural Respect
1. Modest Dressing: Please cover your shoulders and knees while going into and interacting with the local community.
2. Remove Shoes: Please remove your shoes before entering our home or the homes of the locals.
3. Respect local culture: Understand, learn, and respect local practices and customs
Safety and Security
1. Lock doors and windows: Remember to lock your room and the main house when you leave
2. Take care of belongings: Always look after your personal belongings and take care of your valuables

Smoking Rules
Your host is a non-smoker.
Smoking is allowed outdoors only.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
