We are a friendly, fun family, offering a welcoming home. Right on the beach and near the town, we will show you the sights as well as offer an opportunity to attend a top Primary School.
We are a friendly, outgoing family with many interests. Beautiful position by the seaside and opposite the sailing club.
I am a Head teacher in a top Primary School, offering opportunities for students to come in, study or work with children to develop their English skills. I have been a teacher for 16 years. In addition to this, I have 10 years experience in teaching abroad within Europe.
Within the household is my son, currently at the same school who is a sport enthusiast (10 years old). He enjoys tennis, swimming, football and rollerblading along the seafront. We go to church in Canterbury most Sunday mornings. We also go to the local cinema, play lots of games, musical instruments and love our walks along the beach. We have bicycles available as there are many cycle paths along the coast.
Canterbury is 20 minutes in the car and is the largest historical city in our area. We are also near other seaside towns like Margate, which has The Turner Art Gallery and a very nice old town. To sum up, there is plenty to do here with the added opportunity of participating in studying within a Primary School. You can then apply your skills in conversation with the family and out in the community. We are a lively family and if you just want to relax, you can sit on the balcony and watch and listen to the sea!

We live 2 minutes away from the beach and have lovely sea views from the house.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
